Scroll vs Skill: The biggest question

Well no **** the better player wins, but that's bot how you determine match ups and tiers and ****

Unless you mean to say on EQUAL skill levels, a player with street actually has a chance against a Hunter

Scrolls were meant to be your preferred style when playing Rumble Fighter, but as with other fighting games, RF developed and players noticed inconsistencies in gameplay. They seeked to refine their playstyle, so tier lists were bound to come up and comparisons were made.

To paraphrase my friend Galdeira/muleaccount1, a scroll gives players tools to fight with. Some scrolls have more tools than others. I compare it to how professional Melee players gravitate towards Fox, Falco, Marth Peach, and Captain Falcon for their games because they have the most optimal tools and abilities. Ideally anyone can be really good with any character, but the fact of the matter is some are just more open to difficult plays than others.

 

As a previous rank 1 1v1er, scroll isn't a factor if someone loses or wins. Except scrolls that not everyone has access to. And Hunter.

No but there are different things a scroll has for example most low tier scroll have a absence of a juggle launcher and are slower while a decent scroll have launchers 2 hits moves with invincibility like kg frames and some even have extended counters,plus they have more range which means punishing from long distance so its not that damage matters because if u have more skill then another person with a low tier scroll u can win but the fact of the matter is If two equal players face off with a low tier vs high tier scroll it's obvious the high tier scroll does infact have advantages

 

skill would matter more, we had a scroll master tournament on ogp. what the person is using also factors too.

 

There isn't a huge enough factor between scroll tiers unless it's like Hitman vs Muay Thai to change the end result of a 1v1

Skill. 100% of players have the same play style whether they change scrolls or not. The only thing that really changes is the degree to which he/she can spam. The only scroll that really changes the game is Sage because regardless of play style you can't counter it and the fire will hit you whether you cancel the combo or not. And I wouldn't be surprised if a legitimate new player managed to accidentally drop juggle 6 times in a row because it's just that easy with Sage. Trash scroll for cheap players.
