Defenses and the Fort Yard
Outside of your Heroes, the Fort Yard is your main Hub for defending you Kingdom. Inside, you will find various facilities you can upgrade to help you fight off invading forces.

The Wall
Your Wall is one of the most important facilities you can upgrade in Kingdom Hunter. While it still has health, it will serve two functions for your Kingdom defense. When an Attacking Corp tries to invade your Kingdom, the Wall will prevent enemies from being able to use their skills. In addition, the Wall will take damage instead of your Forces when attacked, until it falls. In addition, you cannot develop or upgrade any buildings in your Kingdom if you Wall is not at full strength, so make sure to check and repair it after an attack. Upgrading your Wall might seem pointless during times of peace, but when you are eventually attacked, you will be thankful for the support it will provide.

Double Wall. What does it mean?
The Double Wall facility increases the health of your existing wall by a % of its max Health. While not that useful at low levels, as you upgrade your Wall, it will eventually have 100,000's of Health, and a percentage increase can provide a huge amount of extra Health to your Wall.

Fortress Turret
The Fortress Turret is a useful tool to weaken attacking forces. At the start of a Battle, it will deal a set amount of damage to all Enemy Heroes. Since it only activates once per battle, investing too many resources into your Turrets will not be as effective as investing in your Wall, but can make a difference if both armies are close in power and will deter weaker Armies from attacking.

Outer Turret
Similar to the Double Wall, the Outer Turret increases the Damage your Fortress Turret does by a percentage. Upgrading the Outer Turret can help weaken attacking forces, but should not be a focus until you have first upgraded your Fortress Turret.

Portal Power Plant
The Portal Power Plant is a mysterious facility that powers the Portal in your Kingdom. With this extra power, your Heroes will be able to command more Units in their Army. Unlike other facilities, the Power Plant required Runestones to upgrade, so it is likely one of the last buildings you will upgrade.
