unofficial tier lists for rare scrolls (post your own!)

I'm just curious to see where it would rank. You don't have to add it to the official list.

 

Default is actually a really strong pressuring scroll

The hook animations that the first and second punch has, makes it so it's very easy to land close range, and very hard to drift away from when closed-in. It also has a very fast startup, and recovers lightning fast, so you can easily annoy opponents by repeating first punches until it hits, and confirm it into PPK. The first punch has some stun loaded in it, which makes it very safe to use too.

And the PPK puts you advantageous-on-hit, so you can pretty much push for free damage, if the opponent tries to attack from hitstun recovery.

It has the worst kick combo in the game, but honestly, just ignore it, and play it like it's Boxing.

Most would rank Default at the very lowest, but for me, I can easily put it in C+ tier, where Taekkyon is.

 

Buki in God Tier because it's so rare that some say it doesn't even exist.

 

Is this fixed?

Where do you see Ice Breaker S placed if you had a rare scroll tier list?

S-Tier should be:

Full-Impact
Zin TKD (R)
Hitman BF LE
Sumo BF LE
Yellow Dragon
BWN (R)
Rage BF LE
Cyclone BF LE
Abyss BF LE - Infinite reset, yes... But, it is more difficult than before and the only RELIABLE Juggle Launcher stems from a Punch.
Ice Breaker S (SFV) [Upgraded] - Only makes the S-tier because of the >>G and nearly guaranteed ground hit afterwards.
Marang Ninjutsu - All Resets were patched, many combos have slower recover times than before.

Ice Breaker SFV (Not Upgraded) shouldn't be in the S-Tier as it does not have the >>G

and also, I want your thoughts about JJ SE. Is the reset possible without an elevated platform?

 

That launcher has triangle attack capabilities, and has very strong anti-drift game

the old Ice Breaker spinning first kick was good, but the new one has A LOT faster startup too (not if that's just me) with the bonus Rage-tier frontal range.

I like the new hook animation for the first punch. Have you seen if the 3rd punch has any forgiving qualities that could make up for the wonky hitboxes?

they always doing adjustments to stuff, like that ninja-buff to Vermillion Phoenix sword that never needed a buff

 

No, the Semi Reset doesn't work for the permanent version of JJ SE

Also, that video is a "Levi Reset" which causes the person being juggled to levitate for a couple frames, enabling a reset to happen. Can be done with various scrolls such as Dragon, Gentleman, Cold Blood, etc.

 

Wish I had the drive to think about which one I think has the best tools.

Both Lucha Libre and Lucha Libre SE don't need a wall for their resets. However, Lucha Libre SE's reset was patched recently. Lucha Libre's reset remains.

 

I wonder if I should make "scroll difficulty" a factor in its ranking

Ik this is old now, but I would suggest that Dark Haze Ninjitsu BFLE deserves a spot in God tier! @Shana
