I wish you could tell people whats going on. It's "ok" to wait but waiting without knowing whats happening is just a pain. I'd require an explanation afterward.

Where's our event???

 

I think they won't start their day for at least another 3 hours so any fix/explanation will have to wait until then. They either made a mistake in announcing the event starting time (more likely) or forgot to turn on the event (less likely because it is almost surely automatic). Either way, this is disappointing.
