I made a thing, and want to make more.

THIS STILL ISN'T DRAWINGS.

These light effect sigs.... While they do look nice more effort could be put in. e.g. studying how light works so you know where the light should be and where it would be seen.
Pupils should not be glowing. They're empty holes.
It looks like a triangle overlayed on the eye.
The "glow" is overpowering the render. The torso doesn't need to be all uniformly affected by the green light. Same with hair. Your circle brush to add the glow effect is too obvious.
There's shadows already in the render that you could follow that you could use to determine direction of light source or to further use it to make the lighting more believable.
This would also help with drawing. Better shading and possibly coloring if you understand how light works.
I think you're trying to copy that C4D style but the background's too uniform. Looks bore.

Why are there swirls. They don't add to the composition. The darker one looks nice but the swirls are too uniform.
The Sleepy one kind of makes sense having 1 swirl there (personal opinion but swirls look ugly. Reminds me of those awful "smudge" sigs)
The swirls in Captain need to vary in size to make it an interesting piece. Some are even level to each other.

i have like 0 renders and the one I just did was **** and I used magnify windows program to zoom l0l

1. Regarding the eye, I accidentally put light there, but was to lazy to fix xD lol
2. Your extremely true and correct about all the lighting, thats something I shall work on.

3. Regarding the Captain signature. That was the first time I ever used the swirly thing, so I overused it.,, Like a lot.
4. On the Sleepy signature, I'm aware of the "no add composition by adding swirls" if was just a FX that the requester liked
