A basic trait all good demoers have in their repertoire is pressure. It's no surprise to me that he had that rule. I decided to leave it out because of that very reason. Because although you can run, you can't hide. You simply don't get forced in a position where you need to panic, possibly panic killing your opponent, resulting in a point for them. Which… in retrospect… may not be so simple.
So if I'm on the edge and you're hitting me and I use my panic to prevent myself from being knocked off the map but you just do happen to die its your point? I mean I can think of numerous situations where you could get panic killed unintentionally. That rule is kinda bad. You should change it to "intentional panic kills result in a point for the other player"
@kyoz123 @Starberry @Tides @Saiiyuki @HunterX We will commence our battles on the new client. Looking forward to it! I changed the panic kill rule to "intentional panic kills result in a point for your opponent" cause Saii is my DarknessGang sis.
How can we tell if its intentional or accidental? What if I panic kill you accidentally but you believe it's intentional? Just a thought.
I'll try to elaborate on the rule a bit. • If you're about to be edged from a panic the opponent used to save themselves and panic yourself, but edge the opponent with your panic, that's a point for yourself even though you panic killed. This is because you only panicked to save yourself and made your opponent use theirs beforehand. Pressure. • If you predict a movement and edge with a panic kill that's a point for the opponent (ie: the screen is moving up and you panic, preventing them from climbing/jumping/walking up as well).
