Gourdy has been relentless in pursuing a way to end it all. His first action in hoping to compete with things like this in the past has been to install a moderation of the General Discussion section of the forums, which was once known as the most active section of the forums. The new rules basically go against players to respond with a comment or like within threads that contain pornographic images in all sections of the forum. Gourdy then goes on to list another rule, directed to the Off-Topic Section. What the rule entails is that players won't be able to receive any sort of view count......Which doesn't really help with his case on the first ruling unless he hopes to compete against spammers? Nevertheless, Gourdy is in charge, and if he wishes to place these rules. Then so be it. It would also appear that many are against this sort of ruling. Mostly this is appearing to be towards the second rule. Other users seem to try to display their own versions of things that would help against the rulings. Overall these won't make a difference in the end. It also seems that if things continue to keep up like they are right now. We can most likely assume that most of the RF Forum Section will have to be monitored. In Gourdy's post below he also listed that rulings are scheduled to change, meaning that pretty much anything could be changed or added in. Let's just hope it doesn't lead to the game's end. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Power of Chargebacks It appears that if you want to have any sort of power over people. The first thing you would do is give them an RC item and just charge it back to close their accounts. It allows certain people to obtain this sort of hold on people in order to keep them in line, and possibly keep them for things such as favors or bribes. This normally wouldn't be a big issue but it doesn't seem like the ones in charge of looking through chargebacks on accounts are focusing on whether they were gifted items or not, and just closing the accounts outright. Truly a terrifying experience. It's as if we're back in times where there was a mass epidemic of people being gifted carat items were extremely dangerous due to them being hacked carats. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AMA's, AMA's, & AMA's If you go through each of the pages within the Off-Topic section of the forums. It's pretty much a normal site to see at least 1 or 2 threads being an AMA. For some reason, players in masses have been creating AMA's, wanting to talk about their own viewpoint on things and hoping that others would appreciate their feedback as well. It pretty wild to think that it increased to what it is now, after being something that was done once or twice in at least 6-7 month on GamesCampus. Hell, even some players have been going out of their way to let people know to relax with the AMA's. It's as if everyone and their mother wants to make a thread now. As of right now, it does appear to calm down way more than it was originally, but overall that's subjected to change. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This Week Weather Report We'll switch this off to Pr0dz on the current Weather Report. However, we've been hearing news of some keylogging attempts caused by some players which apparently has been increasing ever so slightly.
