Sincle my cable company wants to charge me twice for setting up a second modem in my room so I can use ethernet I was thinking about the possibilities of a powerline adapter to run my ethernet cable into. Anyone have a any experience with this sort of thing? Pretty much impossible to get a ethernet cable directly from my router to my room so this may be my best bet on playing without laggaroni

How new is your house? Older houses won't work with this method. And yes Comcast bullshits you out of that kind of thing, but they did give me free ethernet cables to run across the house when I asked.

Might work then, from when they tried it at my house it was like a +5ms increase which isn't too bad. Should work fine for you but I'd still recommend ethernet, but since that isn't an option powerline adapter is the next best thing.
