I would be interested if a) other franchises were included (Arkham series, CoD, Battlefield, etc) b) if the device was more compelling because it looks like an Nvidia Shield replacement, but that's not saying much.

Took a look at the prices and games being offered. Nothing exciting. I'll wait for the Scorpio. Maybe one day Sony will create a successor to the PS Vita.

Well the first iteration of the Nvidia Shield offered a 1980x1200 resolution and featured much better hardware. The second generation was shifted to 4k. Why in 2017, is Nintendo limiting the device to a 720p resolution? That means that their products will continue to be underpowered. It is not inherently bad, but that means I am not their intended target audience.

The Nvidia Shield had decent hardware right but it had no good exclusive games to justify buying. I mean yeah it has um Need for Speed Limits and Borderlands 2 but I can already play those games on my smartphone and pc. PS Vita suffered the same fate. Much better hardware than the 3DS but no GOOD games. And it's only the switch's handheld module that's in 720P. When you connect it to the dock for playing on a TV the resolution increases to 1080p. It might even have some 4K capabilities.
