You should max your dex first. Now, theres 2 options for Hybs: Max Str First or Max Con First. - Max Str first : Ppl say your buffs are enough to replace early levels of low con,also Str gives def and a little bit of damage. - Max Con First (the usual build), one will never have enough Hp. Also get enough Str for weps.
Max Str/Dex, then put con. This is the only correct way for melee hybrid. The majority will tell you to max dex first, but in reality maxing str before dex is better - even tho some claim it to outdated acclaim-info. Str gives dmg and def. The dmg increase is not significant, but it helps - and the def makes your hp last longer. Dex gives attack rate and dodge, and some people claims that it gives critical rate - however i during test with full dex+rest str vs full str+rest dex - the critical rate seems very similar - and the difference if any is negliable. The miss/hit ratio on mobs within 5 levels are very similar as well. So unless you plan for alot of low lvl pvp, maxing str is the best, while building critical rate through other means (ornaments, clothes, relics, epithat).
