Description: Judo known as "the gentle way" originated in Japan and founded by Sensei Kano. Kano believed that Judo should be demonstrated by kata and other demos, his student mitsuyo maeda believed that Judo should be demonstrated through combat. Maeda studied Newaza judo (which were commonly called **** scooters) and renamed it Kano Jiu Jitsu. He traveled to Brazil beating boxers and wrestlers in no holds barred matches, he later taught Gastão Gracie's sons his style. Helio; a frail and sickly child noticed that Maeda's style required too much physical prowess and revised the art so anyone including him would be able to use it. To this day this martial art is still used in cage fighting today. Designed by IGN: Doberman and IGN Mexican
