Online proctored exams are meant to be convenient, yet many students find them more stressful than traditional testing. From strict monitoring rules to fear of technical failures, the pressure can quickly build. This forum discussion looks at why learners begin searching phrases like take my online proctored exam when anxiety peaks. Hire Exam Nerds invites students to share their real experiences, including internet issues, room-scan stress, and mental fatigue. Are these exams truly fair assessments, or do they unintentionally create obstacles for capable students?

I get why people feel more stressed with proctored online exams. Half the anxiety isn’t even the test itself — it’s worrying your internet will glitch or the software will flag something innocent and ruin your attempt.

There should definitely be a better balance between maintaining integrity and not making students feel like they’re under constant surveillance
