Interesting point. I think the rarest loot in any MMO isn’t an item — it’s the memories and reputation you build with other players. Servers shut down, inventories disappear, but the friendships, stories, and identity you created often stay with you much longer. For me, “digital legacy” is about continuity. The same nickname, the same community, the same values carried from one game to another. In the end, people rarely remember your gear score — they remember how you treated others and the moments you shared together.
But what happens to these digital assets when we are no longer here or when the services we rely on shut down? Our digital legacy is the collection of memories, information, and online identities we leave behind.
