Is the Stat Restriction in effect for all members regardless, or does the RM get to choose to not have the stat restriction?
There's some good things about this setup: -More reward for participating -A stat cap -Addition of Moving Screen to this mode However there's some flaws: -Getting 1st, 2nd, or 3rd overall means if you do badly in 1 round you can basically get screwed out of ever winning -You let people use any map which means 90% of people are going to make Moon Rooms -You have a questionable banlist. Some scrolls are banned for their Run Z, but you don't ban Muay Thai SE even though it has the same Run Z as Muay Boran. -Why is Blackout Summer Festival banned? Why is Wind Shooter but not Destroyer BF LE banned? Both have a long range projectile.
To clarify, the stat cap restriction only applies if the ban list restrictions are also applied. Therefore, room masters will have the option of either limiting things for it to be more competitive, or make it chaotic with an "anything goes" brawl. The previous rendition of the ban list allowed for players to spam ExoCores such as Shuriken-jutsu, while taking advantage of the ban list utilization to limit any counter play to their tactic. This is being alleviated for the new event. In addition, the stat limit was added to prevent players from combining high stats with high damaging skill items for easy kills. We're also in internal discussions on Avalon Drivers as well. As for your concerns, I have discussed with the CA team and here are our responses: Doing badly in one round will most likely knock you out from being 1st Place, but you can absolutely still contend for 2nd and 3rd place. There are also other factors, such as other players not doing so well for one of the rounds, so it can be anyone's game. I wouldn't resort to "giving up" if you have a rough time in one of the rounds. Muay Thai SE not being on the ban list is a complete oversight on our end and will be added once the ban list graphic is updated. Map restrictions won't be applied as part of the trial test period, but we may add it in the future to mix it up. Black Out (SFV) is a high damaging scroll which also happens to have one of the best priority first kicks in the game that come out even faster compared to it's original version. Destroyer BF LE's projectile does not knock down (and away) opponents, nor is it a ground hit. It also comes out fairly slow and the hitbox is actually not that good for a projectile. In comparison, using Wind Shooter can knock down multiple opponents quickly off a map such as Moonlight Valley and it's projectile does not disappear even when blocked, allowing for it to hit unsuspecting opponents behind a target as well. Eagle Claw does something similar, but it is currently not on the ban list as the hitbox only allows it to hit 1-2 opponents at best (the projectile disappears on hit/block as well).
Thanks for replying. I did want to clarify that the 10K carat reward is a very, very good reward. As a participation award, it's a lot better than previous Fisticuffs. Boxes and an Ori shard is nice too. And the stat caps are a good idea for the reasons you mentioned, as there are plenty of exos that can be spammed that are not on the list. As for my issue with the way the winners are determined now (1,2,3 or maybe 4 if the CA gets one of the spots), there's also the issue Fisticuffs dealt with. See, with Fisticuffs, the round winner won and had to suicide in later rounds. This means that the best players were removed from the game essentially, making it easier to win the 2nd and 3rd rounds (3rd round especially as the 2 strongest players were dead). With the current system, the strongest players stay in the game until the end, and they are incentivized to perform as best as they can to win. So instead of the best player and 2nd best player suiciding off, they keep trying to win and kill others, which can make it harder to win or do well. Also I'm doubtful of that contending for 2nd or 3rd place. Because if you die first in a round you very often get negative points. If you get like a ton of kills maybe, but as it is losing in 1 round sets you back tremendously, which didn't happen in the old system. In the old Fisticuffs, if you lost the 1st round, you actually had a better chance of winning in the 2nd and 3rd because the top player had to suicide, and you only had to get 1st place once to win. With this system, you pretty much have 0 chance of winning if you do poorly in the 1st and 2nd rounds because your overall score will now be way too low. Before, even if you died 1st in the first and second rounds, if you won the 3rd, you could still win a prize. But there is also the benefit of someone perhaps getting 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, and winning a prize even if they never got 1st place. There's benefits to both approaches, I can't say if this one will be better but I'm seeing an issue that Fisticuffs lacked. So if Blackout SFV is banned due to the high damage and fast, high-priority first kick, that just seems like an arbitrary decision. Like, Zeta Frenzy also does a lot of damage and is fast. Hunter has an extremely long and generous counter animation. Those aren't banned IIRC either. The reasoning to ban Wind Shooter but not Destroyer BF LE or at the very least Eagle Claw RE also seems a bit weak, because the Eagle Claw RE projectile is also a ground hit. The only difference is Wind Shooter's continues if blocked. Is that the defining metric for what bans a scroll? Also, I see Epsilon is banned. Is it due to the large shockwave kG attack? Because if so, Catastrophe also has a very large AoE kG hurricane-like attack.
You know I do agree with Donkeypuncher to an extent. If this is supposedly to appeal and grab more players especially new customers, instead of telling the winners to jump off let them play and make it more challenging, this way they'll be more motivated to improve, during the in-game score, who ever came up 2nd will win that round and then whoever get 1st or 2nd(In case winners repeat) place at the end of the game will also be a winner. Why give out carat, this game and the developers don't even add new carat items plus the carat scrolls is ass would rather use medal scrolls, I would say add medal to the participate and winners as well. Why, why can't winners also get the participate prizes as well, are you guys being racist?? just kidding but seriously, winners participated why don't they also get the prizes as well? Not my fault I am a winner. Instead of 1k RC why not just give out 1050 RC, I mean you're already giving out 1k lol, this way new players can buy a scroll or exocore instead of waiting another 2 week just to failed and not get anything or a scroll that is worth 1050RC that they like or want. Can we also focus more on turning some of the older scrolls into carat? Jeet kun do, pro wrestling, Shaolin Tiger, etc. We should strip all stats and make it default so everyone is equal, ban revives, all rares exocore/scrolls, and ban scrolls that has a run z that can grab or fence this way it'll be easier to focus on specific scrolls n exocores.
Hello all, before the Sunday Showdown event undergoes trial testing on this Sunday (tomorrow), we'd like to clarify the "Top 3" winner criteria for the event. Top 3 winners will be determined based on number of total times a player has successfully reached Top 3 in the final scoreboard of their match., This means that a player has no limit to the number of times he/she can participate during the event's duration., For instance, if [CM]Fang places 1st Place in his first game with a moderator, and happens to place 3rd Place in another room, they will have a total of 2 wins on that day. Example: [GM]Kyubi - 3 wins [CA]Sou - 3 wins [CM]Fang - 2 wins [CA]Ztar - 2 wins [CA]Embers - 2 wins [CA]MrBurns - 2 wins [GM]Foxtrot - 1 win Then the Top 3 winners for the event will be [GM]Kyubi, [CA]Sou & [CM]Fang. In the event that the more than 3 players have the same number of wins, the winners will be randomly picked out., Winners will also be publicly announced after each event., In addition, we have finalized the ban list for the event. Again, the ban list will be used if the room master chooses to apply it to their room.
I gotta say this change is awful The banlist added some bans that are good (Zeta Frenzy). But the change in the winners being the top 3 overall instead of top 3 for each room is absolutely awful. Before people could win and relax. Now they have to play the entire hour to get a chance. And now you don't even get anything guaranteed for getting top 3 in a room. And the reward for the 3 winners overall isn't even good. 1,000 RC doesn't even buy most scrolls since most cost 1,050. 1,000 RC might've been good for the winners of each 3 rounds but for the top 3 overall of an event, it's piss-poor. 2026, you guys had a trend of: -Lame event with mostly junk rewards (Happy Hour) -Good event that recurs (Power Hour) -Very flawed but overall good thing (Guilds, glitchiness, crashes, and delays) -Bad news (No more fisticuffs) -Good news (Login changes) Overall you had a middling, not terrible, not great showing this year. Sort of boring and meh, nothing too atrocious. In my opinion a lot of people were losing hope because the events were of mediocre quality, lack of spenders, etc. This change in the event took the winners from 3 out of every 7 players to 3 out of the entire playerbase, basically completely gutting the number of players who can even win. Absolutely awful. I'll be honest, I'll try the event, but given the severe core issues of gameplay that RedFox cannot address and has not tried to alleviate through their events, I don't think there's much point in playing after. Oh and the last kicker is you announce this THE DAY BEFORE THE EVENT. You built up a ton of hype and then just pulled the rug out.
When we said, players can still participate even after they won, this is not what we meant at all, lmfao. This is crazy, how will new gen be able to get top 3????????? W T F and for only 1k RC this is madness HOLEH.
For what it's worth, we (the CA's) didn't know about it being Top 3 [Overall] instead of Top 3 [Per Room] until like the night before the event either. The whole team's reaction was rather displeased (severe understatement.) Seriously, if it's only Top 3 overall, those prizes should have been something like 3k RC, 100k carats, 10 Ori shards, and both tiers need some Medal coupons (maybe like 300 participation, 3k winners.) I will say, as one of the moderators for the event, I did like that I no longer needed to ask "Which rule set are you using" since it's just the one rule set of "Play 3 rounds almost like a normal match" and the only thing slowing me down were the rooms that wanted to enable the bans (since I have to take my time to check Stats, skill items, and whether or not someone has an avalon on, 7 times.) I'm a little sad none of the rooms I got to used the Moving Screen option for the event. Would have loved to see y'all trying to get 1st place in a Hangar room. Also, I did enjoy getting to actually play with folks instead of having to hop off the map at the start so I could keep myself focused on that round's scoreboard and make sure players hopped off in rounds 2 and 3 if they won in rounds 1 or 2. Oh, you know what? I think I see what should really be done here in regards to the prizes system: Have a Top 3 Overall prize, a Top 3 in a room prize, and the participation prize. (Non accumulative, of course.) If you never come in top 3, you just get the participation prize pack. (4 Good luck Mix chests + 30k carats + 1 ori shard + 300 medals) If you get in the Top 3 in a room at least once, you get an upgraded prize pack. (350rc + 2 Good Luck Mix instead of 4 + 60k carats + 2 ori shards + 600 medals) Then Top 3 Overall can be: (1050rc + 100k carats + 5 ori shards + 1k medals) And just for the fun of doing a little light math, that's about a maximum total of: 6,300rc 840k carats 132 ori shards 270 Good luck Mix chests 38,100 medals [Totals are based on 2 moderators getting through 6 rooms each, but doesn't account for duplicate participants which would just lower the totals anyway.] I think if it's set up like this, it'd be a fine Once-a-month event that players could actually look forward to. If it's not asking for too much, maybe even add an incentive for players to use the Moving screen mode. Maybe something small like adding some Proofs of Passion tickets or Ascended scroll boxes or something to the prize packs of those who run those rooms at least once. (Part: 2 tickets or 1 box, Top 3 at least once: 4 tickets or 2 boxes, Top 3 overall: 10 tickets or 5 boxes)
I'm gonna be honest, switching the prize from top 3 in each room to be top 3 throughout the event was one of the worst decisions made by the GM team in 2026. After taking away fisticuffs, your team had a chance to bring something to light that would help bring as much impact fisticuffs did to our playerbase, specifically f2p players, and new/returning players. I admit, when your team released this event initially, seeing that the prize was 1k rc, 50k carats, etc for top 3 in the room made it worth the 2 month wait where we had no engaging events (feb, march). However, that switch up that was made a day prior to the event just made this event go from great to hot garbage - an event that does not justify the no engagement we had for 2 months. Changing the prize from top 3 per room to top 3 throughout the event was not only disrespectful of us player's time, but also reveals part of the true nature of what your team's intent and vision are when creating events. I say this in no way to point out any single individual on the GM team, but I say this hoping that your team will take our feedback seriously and act on it - From what we've seen with removing fisticuffs and implementing this new event with the nerfed prizes, With respect, I believe that the GM/person/Dev in charge of making these decisions do not understand the current challenges and concerns players are facing at all, and lacks the professional experience to have the foresight to look beyond narrow business goals and ACTUALLY understand the customer (aka us players) needs. Because whoever is making these decisions - Congratulations, you got your "rewards have consistently gone to the same group of players." issue resolved. But at what cost? Player Satisfaction. The value of the very players who supports this game. By changing the prize to be "top 3 throughout the event": It is extremely disrespectful to us player's time. If we want to aim for that prize, alot of us Do Not have the time to stay the full hour. Also, we are at the mercy of RNG due to not being guarenteed to always get a CA. Therefore, if we DO choose to stay and participate fo rthe full hour, we are not even guaranteed to be top 3. Compared to fisticuffs, where you would only need to have 1 CA in the room to get a shot at winning Changing it top 3 throughout the entire event immediately gatekeeps and prevents any new/returning player from winning Comparing to fisticuffs, where new/returning player had a chance of winning. Penalizes players that have any random dc/game crash that might happen when they get a CA. Impact: Players are automatically not eligible to win top 3 even with 1 random dc/crash, which , as a reminder, is something that is OUT of the player's control, and is a complete result of the game's inferior underlying infrastructure Did the top 3 had to have changed to be top 3 throughout the event? What if we kept it as top 3 per room, but lowered the RC amount? what about lowering the RC and carat amount? Were these things not considered?? What are some of the current player challenges and concerns you ask? Its simple. (excluding things that are out of your control, like bugs, glitches, etc) The game is PAY 2 Win. This game has NO trade system - that means ANY RC item that players want, they have to spend money themselves and buy, including clothing for fashion, statted clothes, new scroll, or exocores. Solution: Give us events that give RC or RC items. Its that simple. There are absolutely no rewards or incentive for us loyal players who are constantly on and playing the game. Returning players get 15 loot boxes, valued at almost $60 USD, and remember these are RC boxes, boxes that f2p players would never have access to, Where's ours for loyal players?? The argument before was playing and participating in events like fisticufs and others will make up for these. but what about now?? Whats stopping a current loyal player from "jumping ship" and playing another game instead of rf?! Solution: Give us MORE events with rewarding prizes. RC fashion. RC clothing. RC scroll/exo. Choices. More choices. Many wanted items are GATEKEPT in spenders. How do you expect us to obtain these items (ie. halloween fashion sets, other wanted items listed in other forum posts) when they're gatekept in spenders, and even worse - devs are gatekeeping the items based on seasons/holidays, so if there's no spenders for that holiday for this year, then its NOT obtainable. Solution: Give us MORE events that offers these items as prizes, or give us MORE spenders. RC items are too expensive! Give us SPENDERS or SALES that give us incentive or bonus for spending. When was the last time we had a b2go rc box event?? August 2025. We used to have these b2go box events TWICE a year, but it was only offered ONCE in 2025, and we've havent had one since august 2025... What about 5+1 box sales? who makes decisions? is it GMs or devs? There is no engaging activities when playing this game. Where are the engaging events? where are the events that actually reward us? Maintenance every 2 weeks -> it really is a "server maintenance" and thats all it is. No new events. Many more.. Why are there no events to help support players and tackle some of these above issues? I don't understand why the GM team is so allergic to hosting engaging events. In what world does a game have no events for months? I know Gem fighter has 0 events, so Rumble Fighter having more than 0 events makes it "ahead of the curve", but the bar is so low for this game. Its not Engaging. No incentive to play. Its like this in 2024. in 2025. now 2026?? how many years does history have to repeat itself for your team to "Get it"?. No 2026 Lunar new year spenders/event No 2026 Valentines day spenders/event No 2026 St. patricsk day spenders/event No 2026 Easter spenders/event ... I will give your team the benefit of the doubt, and Maybe the last 2 months were in "planning" phase to plan better and consistent events in the future to ensure something like the last 2-3 months never happens again. Now, given all of this, your team did achieve some amazing feat new permanent power hour event (2x carats/exp on weekends) new attendance event with great rewards brought back guilds new ranking system And this is awesome. But the events and incentivizing/rewarding current loyal players needs work. [CM]Fang mentioned that there are going to be things for the 10th anniversary for this game. I have high hopes for that, and hope it addresses some of these issues.
And on the topic of the 10th anniversary events, I'm expecting to see some big events like a big spenders event with highly desired prizes like the items from https://forums.playredfox.com/index...black-friday-christmas-spenders-prizes.59313/ and https://forums.playredfox.com/index.php?threads/poll-your-most-wanted-rarest-items.59540/ spenders carat tier with highly valued carat tier prizes like the ones in 2024 near end of year (black friday, halloween, xmas) we do NOT want timed items in spenders!! b2go events with metatron boxes, etc, And not some event with mediocore/lame prizes like: last years 9th anniversary event - https://forums.playredfox.com/index.php?threads/grand-finale-guardian-spirits-gift.59061/ (bad prizes in general.) even the 7th anniversary event was better... https://forums.playredfox.com/index.php?threads/rumble-fighter-7th-anniversary-events.55957/ (having Orichalcon Scroll/exo Box, 50k carats) last years 9th anniversary spenders - https://forums.playredfox.com/index.php?threads/grand-finale-sparkling-spotlight-spenders.59060/ (bad carat tier prizes) Examples of GOOD event prizes: the spenders near end of the year in 2024 (black friday, halloween, xmas) https://forums.playredfox.com/index...sary-pre-event-a-trip-down-memory-lane.58579/ this is pretty good since it gives 4+ boxes 7th anniversary fisticuffs https://forums.playredfox.com/index.php?threads/special-7th-anniversary-fisticuffs.55985/
To add on to this, you gave my account (IGN: Smough) the incorrect Fisticuffs reward. ProfessorZtar discussed it over the Discord with me and said I got someone else's choice. This STILL hasn't been fixed and it has been WEEKS. You tried to tell me I chose the prizes you gave me, but I did not, ProfessorZtar can confirm. You haven't responded to the ticket AT ALL and it's been WEEKS This is part of the problem with Red Fox is there's no response to any of our issues whether we raise them on the forum or in tickets. It's radio silence. I'm wondering if the prizes for this Sunday Showdown will even ever come out given that the last Fisticuffs rewards were incorrectly doled out.
Update 5/3/2026: [CM]Fang posted this in the rf discord: " We've updated the rewards for Rivalry Rumble & Sunday Showdown Events. We're still internally discussing on the Sunday Showdown rewards, so there may still be changes up towards the event's starting date, on May 17, 2026."
I want to once again bump Ztar's suggestion of having a 3 tiered prize structure - participation prize, a room TOP X prize, and top 3 overall prize. I think this is a super good idea, and I will break down the reasons why as well as the target audience for each of the tiered prizes 1. Participation prize Great for casual/new players to just get the reward. 2. Top X in a room prize This is great for players that Want to play competitive, but do not have the time commitment to play throughout the entire event. Also this is great as a "fall back" for players that are aiming to be top 3 throughout the entire event, but are victims of random dc/crashes that instantly do not qualify for the top 3 throughout the entire event. Some suggestions for this are: Option A: Either do what Ztar suggested - top 3 in a room gets some prize. non accumulative) Option B: or just make 1st place in a room get a prize + participation prize (ie. 1st place in a room gets 500 RC + participation prize) 3. Top 3 throughout entire event This is great for players striving for competition and striving for top 3. These are also players that are lucky enough to not encounter any dcs/crashes With this prize structure, it solves the problem that the current sunday showdown prize structure presents - the problem where the players that would aim for top 3 throughout the event would sometimes play for the full duration of the event and STILL not make it top 3 due to reasons out side of their control (ie. crashes or dcs when a CA join, or just bad luck and lose that final game that could have gotten them top 3 ), or suddenly have to go and cant play midway through the event.
I think the goal of the Sunday Showdown honestly is to lower the amount of free stuff people get. Instead of 3/7 players winning from Fisticuffs (which is around 40%) it's now just 3 out of everyone. Red Fox can't make money if everybody gets too much free stuff. I'm also wondering what sort of box the secret key from the last Spender's will open. It's a month away from June and we still have got no news on that. We have had no spenders at all for half the year too. So far the majority of events are bad or mediocre, with maybe 1/3rd being good. To be honest this Sunday Showdown being unchanged from the March iteration reeks of laziness. The first Sunday Showdown I wasn't even very motivated cause the odds of winning are far too low. Next thing you know Red Fox will make a spenders where only the top 3 RC and carat buyers will win anything.
