Room Restrictions(Possible UI included)

For a while now i been thinking that Room creator should be able to block certain Exo's,scrolls and revs. Maybe because they are broken, OP and shouldn't have been made...This will be helpful at this time of the game because it will make the Nerf or balancing any scroll not needed.

Possible UI/example:
block up to 10 scrolls and 10 exo's(more or less)
make it EU or NA specific(if not specified the room is open to both)

How it would it work:
If an exo or scroll is blocked

• The player can join the room but not ready until they remove the blocked item.

or

• The player will be auto switched to default exo/scroll

How would he know whats blocked?
Make a block list down the bottom right and in your room inventory; the blocked item cant be selected or added to the inventory

This. Classic mode disables all newer content. It only allows certain scrolls and exos which are given out for free so even new players can play in classic rooms. These exos and scrolls are mostly underused today and most people wouldn't care if they all of sudden got it for free. This is how Gem Fighter did it and it would probably work well here as well.

 

Yes I would like this a lot. Then we could have classic mode guild wars and finally stop banning all GC items (Sike that'll never happen)

 

I always played GW with no rules. Though haven't GW'd since OGP.

 

See GW with no rules is fun except it's hard to gain lp when all the other GWers are so focused on cove and the only exos they use are AB, TB, Claw, or bats lmao.

 

I can agree with #1 but quest mode has a nice tutorial section also I beleive.
2. 1V1 Already has a lot of banned scrolls so it wont really affect real 1v1 scenario's.

Like I said tho this is just a suggestion and needs more work to work around the problems.So to avoid confusion maybe make the blocked scrolls should be unchangeable after creating the room and have them view able from the lobby on one of the room name slots.They can always join a different room an beginner channel wasn't always useless it was a place where the beginners could learn things together.

Classic mode is a reasonable possibility and seems a fair replacement for room restrictions and a good start thats already been created in gem fighter. So why not start with that and then add on to that feature more and more. For example we could have

• B teir - (anything B teir or under),
  
• a rev mode where you have unlimited revs but loose HP for every fall of the map.(RFJP has this feature)
  
• Default mode(Default exo's only but allow any scroll),

Maybe allow the modes to stack so you can have default mode + rev mode.


So ya this is just an idea an I think classic mode is a good starter point. Is their any chance we can get classic mode?

 

I'm in full support of Classic Mode. It's not too often you participate in a clean, honest, respectable match nowadays. Would be a good throwback.

 

Classic mode is dumb. What's the point in having a classic mode when the good OG scrolls and exos are boxed? kek

 

You can still buy 30 day versions in the shop.

I would love to try Classic Mode. I never got to try out Gem Fighter, so it may prove to be fun. Plus locking out most of the newer content could also help newer players ease into the pvp aspect of the game without being bombarded by all these "op" scrolks and exocores.

when i do pvp i only play glacier and i can confirm that things do need be blocked sometimes or it kills the game fun. exocore wars with op stuff is really bad.

 

I think adding a voting system would fix your problem of an RM trolling the room. Add a UI of players voting on the room settings and this idea would be perfect.

Classic mode is very underused after coming back to Rumble Fighter in 2020.
In my opinion, Classic Mode would be used more often if players could restrict stats to under a certain amount.

• If they add this along with the Room Restrictions idea; noobs would have a better chance at learning how to fight, and seasoned fighters would be able to have their clean, honest, and respectable matches.
