RF Windows 10 issue?

Hey guys, im running windows 10 and i tried reinstalling directx as mentioned and when i run it, it opens checks for updates and then closes on its own. My firewall and antivirus is turned off/disabled is anyone else having issues or even playing RFonline on windows 10?

 

One of my laptops run on windows 10 and don't have that problem. What you have in task manager or can you show a video?

 

all i can tell you is when i double click on RF icon it opens up then closes out really quickly

i also tried it on windows 7 does the same thing

 

something is probably interfering with rf.

 

press win + x
go to command prompt (admin)
in command prompt type in tasklist/svc>c:\processlist.txt and press enter

upload processlist.txt here from the c:\ drive

Are you using a mac cuz I see vmware?

 

here are potential culprits

punk buster
anti-cheat bundled with some games that might interfere with gameguard

asus bloatware (e.g. asus gamefirst)
this is trash

icinga 2
gameguard might pick this monitoring tool up as a cheat

facebook gameroom

alcohol soft
although a cd/dvd burning software is not likely going to interfere, i'm listing this anyway because i don't know a lot about this


run rf in safe mode with networking to see if any of these are causing issues


also if you are experiencing network issues from nvidia web helper, go to geforce experience > preferences > games and remove all your games there. then uncheck "recommend optimal settings"

i dont see how vmware directly correlates with mac only

i have asus software because i have an asus gaming laptop its not exactly bloatware

alcohol120% is very well known

ill look into getting rid of punkbuster

this doesnt explain why my windows 7 machine is doing the same exact thing

 

vm is a software that's usually used on macs that want to windows software.
Other anti-cheats will sometimes interfere with gameguard(rf's anti-cheat).
Why are you using vm anyways? One of those two are messing with rf.

@Flamekiller i use vm for testing and since when does vmware or virtualbox interfere with games and if thats the case then why is RFonline the only culprit for not working all my other games run

@teeny no i have not played since the jujitsu se update in fact i havent played on the redfox server in a loooong time

this still doesnt explain why windows 7 does the same exact thing
