Happy weekend everyone! I'm an old old player from OGPlanet and I keep returning to the game every 3 years or so because it just means so much to me, and I learned a large amount of English from it, so it holds a dear place. I was thinking on the reason on why people keep leaving the game and not many new players trying it, and I think it's down to 3 HUGE reasons that have always been overlooked. 1- Lack of Marketing: I have been on the internet (modem) for 20 years now since I was five years old, and I've NEVER once seen marketing for Rumble Fighter, I discovered the game through a friend who found it randomly on OGplanet. I really want to know why it's not advertised and trying to grow more people? This game THRIVES on the multitude of players at once... 2- Lag: This has always been the most annoying part of RF that keeps pushing people away, the lack of refinement of the servers to lessen lag and Goku-ing around that happens and ruins your entire day. Why did it always happen and why does it still? genuinely asking cuz I don't understand the bts of server management and whatnot! 3- The lack of creativity: The game seems to have had the same events happening over the years since like 2014... Why aren't there more things added, specifically events like Fortnite where maybe EVERY player can exist at once to witness a concert or fight a huge demon all together, it would really bring the community together and helps people make cool clips that can be shared around to bring more eyes to the game... What do you guys think? and if anybody can explain my wonderings, I'd be very appreciative
Great post, you’ve perfectly summed up why so many long-time players still care about Rumble Fighter but also why new players aren’t sticking around. Marketing, lag, and lack of fresh creative events are absolutely key areas for improvement. Game companies that invest in better promotion, server infrastructure, and new large-scale events can really breathe life back into their communities. An actual response from NOT a bot: Hi @zabimaru, you bring up excellent points, and I agree w/ you, but I think the answer is more complex than one may thing. Breaking it down: 1. Marketing The GMs probably do have marketing but we dont see it. they probably are targeting some target audience thats not ours,or on platforms that we dont use - thats why we dont see it. But i believe the company is incentivized to do marketing for the game since it generates them more revenue 2. Lag I agree with this but unfortunately the lag is rooted deep within this game, since it operates in a peer to peer network. Its not like other games where clients (players) connects to servers. In order to remove the lag entirely, nimonix would have to rebuild the game from ground up to remove the peer 2 peer network architecture that rf has been built on top of, but accomplishing that is without a doubt impossible. 3. The lack of creativity I do agree that we have very limited events and very few as well compared to other games. I also believe that there are lots more events that could be done and could be done more frequently, and alot of players seem to have brought up this issue in the past several years, but looks like its nothing big has changed. Us players can infer and draw conclusions all we want of why they dont do this, but the reality of it is that, assuming that the company is incentivized to listen to player feedback and try to make this game better, the fact that RedFox Games has not taken the feedback means they probably have some kind of limitation or restriction, be it from the higher ups, or limitations related to man power, or being denied of doing such by Nimonix themselves. And I know many players has expressed their different opinions of [CM]Fang, but whether you like him or not, the one deniable and absolute fact (given his forum post history) is that he was once a player that has consistently demonstrated care for the game, even before joining the RedFox team. After some scanning, i saw that he has actively contributed on the forums with patch notes, damage numbers, and other guides to maintain transparency and genuine efforts to support the community. Given this, it is highly unlikely that a person like that, who has cared about the game, now suddenly stopped caring. Its more likely that he (and the rest of the GM team) are unable to implement such things due to the limitations mentioned above. this is only purely speculation and conclusions drawn from my research, and may be wrong. but this is how i feel. Apparently, theres actually alot of reason why some of the events hosted in the past, such plaza events, and loading screen contest events do not exist anymore and will likely not in the future, but information like this is not readily available for most players, and with the lack of transparency from the GM team + newer players not knowing this piece of info, this is one of the contributing factors that leads to players thinking GMs are doing nothing. I cover these reasons in the Rumble Fighter Academy, where we preach transparency and sharing of game knowledge (having over 350+ rf guides and tips and tricks thats been hidden or gatekept for years).
