I see lots of people complaining that this game is almost dead. And i am sure it will be soon enough not because of RedFox but because of the community. I have spent the last three days looking for a group with not one offer of help (I have a character in each race between lvl 40 > 49) . I am unable to solo lvl because all the high lvl players from other races are so intent on killing the low lvl players, while gaining no cpt and little to no help from the race I was playing at that time. From what i have seen its only the RMT farmers that get any help from high lvl players while farming sette Also I have noticed a lot of glitchors in Ether lure lot and in Volcanic Cauldron with turrets being placed where no mobs or players can hit them At this point I am not surprised that there isnt many players from EU or NA playing anymore. And while I was looking froward to getting back into playing RFo I guess my time will be short lived here
There is no Moderator in this forum and sometimes i think there is no active GM in the 2 servers to ban and punish, glitches,buggers and abusers, but anyway, i may be wrong. With ETS and DQ you wont find level party for 56- other than BD's, because those levels are easy to get if you do those quests everyday.
stay away from the daily quest areas and you will find less high lvl players hunting. Though many 70+ players are kinda bored (or started leveling an alt), because, seriously, its impossible to level to 80 without any map or monsters available past 70
Well thanks guys, think I will giv the game till end of the week before I leave for my final time and hopefully find a similar pvp grind fest game
This is why Rf Online has been alive for 10 years, you wont find a similar game like this, if this game was well developed, had a good support and a good company to take care of it, it would easily get near to match to Warcraft/DoTa or any other famous game out there.
just to add, people have been saying the games been dead since aion came out in 2008 and its still going.
I think the game is dying because of community and REDFOX. I have played RF on different servers for a long time and at first the community seems to help. Then when it comes to trading for weapons or buying CC items both are OP and I believe people here are just greedy as REDFOX and will be the end of what was a fun game. I remember when T1 gem would upgrade to +1 T2 would upgrade to +2 and so on. Here T4 is useless just the other day I was using T5 gem sets and items were breaking at +2 that's unheard of back in the day. I also find REDFOX has made some character obsolete like the launcher back in the day Launcher were OP as hell now they cant event do PVP do you remember when you had a siege line people wouldn't go near the line only tanks would not here. Here you have Mages that tank and do damage MAU that net over and over. Can you recall any time (Before REDFOX) when MAU could tank 10 to 15 peoples any of them here they do. I think REDFOX was the straw that broke the camels back and is going to be the end of what was a good game.
It's not dead in the sense of no players, there are players, tons even.. that's why there's also a large amount of private servers, people have interest in this game. It's dead as in there's no development.
The main problem is CCR (or whoever actually owns it atm) who are expecting people to settle with a game that's stuck in like 2007. Adding random stuff that's usually's just reskins of existing stuff is not development. Not when existing critical problems and bugs are being left unattended with only new ones added. That's why the game changes the host every, what, 2 years? That's about the time it takes for even the most hardcore RF lovers to become disillusioned with any possible change. RedFox? They really don't have much say here, if they don't want it, CCR will just find some other host that will welcome the initial influx of old gamers who return each time someone new takes over the game. Then it'll just die out, rinse & repeat. It'd take some really big brand that could throw some serious money at CCR to change their ways, and that obviously isn't going to happen. Apparently even Codemasters weren't big enough to punch some sense into their heads.
I know everyone wants this and is half joking at the same time but still i see this being posted all the time. but really, if you got fired/let go and then asked to come back and the game was 10 times worse, need to pay me a hell of a lot if i was in that position.
