    Dear community,

I think that it's time to have answers from RF about a chance to merge yin and tao server to improve gameplay for every one. We are asking from i don't even know when, but yin is dead? shouldn't be a good thing merging the server? what do you all think?

Hoping someone from RF gives us some answer if it's possible or not.

I'll set this poll to be closed in 2 weeks

I must admit it would be interesting to have more players on the same server — more competitiveness and interaction.
I don’t see much sense in having two servers at the moment.

    I vote yes.

It is possible and it has been under consideration for quite some time. Though it is not without its issues.

For the people that voted No, may we ask why you wouldn't want a merge?

Trust me, if a merge will happen.. sales will go up, player population go up, + you dont have to spend extra money per month to host another server.. It is all just positives NineArts

They need to test certain things if they want to merge the servers.

Merge that occurred in the past servers caused resetting of the bands, friend list and some other stuffs.

Few questions I'd like to ask.

What will happen if both servers have characters with the same in-game name or band name?

Will the comrades, costume gallery and other functions from f11 that are character bound be brought to the "new" (Tao & yin merged) server?

In case band/leagues are reset/wiped. Will the cost in upgrading band stats and experience via item mall be refunded?

Even though TAO is more popular, What will be the concept of that one server? Tao or Yin?

If Tao server will be the concept and Yin players will need to decide a new in-game name and sacrifice their band/s if necessary, why not just consider adding a one-time "Server Transfer" option for Yin players that will run for 2 - 6 months before closing Yin?

We don't want people playing for people who love fighting.
If possible remove pvp from all maps. Bloody plain already has room for pvp.

I think a paid transfer for willing players is the option. Like it was suggested this will avoid all other issues except for name change when needed. In the end nobody forced these players to choose yin and some of them are the reason why Yin is dead. PvP has it charms but griefing same farming players over and over again will make them eventually quit. I think PvP should be consensual like in other games (wow for example) and people that do not want to be part of it should have that option. There is an anti grief system in game for lower level chars. I think this should be extended to all chars. As the game is now there is no much meaning to PvP. if I loose a PvP there is no penalty; if I win there is no reward. Maybe reintroducing karma requirements for some relics is not a bad idea. Who knows. PvP feels empty if you win or loose (Except for the trash talk, that can be very amusing) I am not against yin players transfering to Tao but I am against a server merge. If yin does not pay for itself, give players the option to transfer by paying a transfer fee and close the server at a fixed deadline. Importing yin toxic attitude towards pve players is not beneficial in the long run.

The pvp players always do this. If there isn't a pvp server they whine & beg for one. When they eventually get it, they destroy it within a year because the a-holes buy their way to the top & then grief & harass the lower level players until they leave. Then the high ranks complain the server is dead & want to merge with the pve server. I started playing with acclaim & have moved to each new developer since, & it always happens.

Yin players are welcome to join Tao, just create new characters & get started. Maybe the Yin players can pay RF to transfer their stuff over or recreate it. I personally hate pvp & think it shouldn't be in the pve server at all, except in Bloody Plains & CoC, which have always been pvp areas, like erer222 mentioned. I think having the choice to participate in pvp or not would be the best option. Just make it a check box in the game options, like refusing duels, & not force the pve players to buy an anti-pk buff. Honestly, go the other way & make no pvp the standard & force the pvp people to buy an pk buff that allows them to be attacked by others.

Even in presidential elections we decide based on the majority's results so you don't need to worry about the minority :V

Yin players themselves can provide insights into why Yin population is dwindling. If a new server is introduced, will it lead to negative behavior from Yin players that could cause problems for the new server as well?
