No way to get it back, but you are right to ask this question - users should not be discarded by gaming manufacturers like some old trash because it is them who pay the money (= no money = no company), and I saw character transfers supported by some companies, which is what should be done. The proper way of doing things: First, they warn the users server will be shut down with at least a month ahead of time, and tell the users the steps to take in order to move their characters to another server. It should be also done in case of owner change like in the case of Nine Dragons - companies should work with each other instead of behaving like they did (BTW this is called bad practice on the market).
