How does Essence affect Chi Kung

I know essence ads more Vital energy. Bit it also says that it affects chi Kung. In what mysterious hidden way does it affect chi Kung?

Does the unknown way that essence affects chi Kung make it worth putting essence points on my nuker for a PVE build? Or how should I build a pve nuker, vs. How should I build a pvp nuker?

 

You should put points into dex, wis, con. In that order, or distribute them as you see fit.
