I'm pretty much a sloth, so this is a bit difficult. I don't delve in competitive biking, but that'd probably be my favorite sport(/activity?).

Okay, so I see this being tossed around a lot. Steam is a pretty great thing, yeah. But the process of getting your game to Steam Greenlight is quite intensive. You have to compete with so many other ideas and plots and game styles, most of them are from Indie developers who are a little bit more understanding of "current trends", especially if they develop for their own country (IE: American developers developing a game for American players.) Sure, there's games that are re-booting themselves, like this one, but I don't know if Rumble Fighter is in a good place to re-boot itself in terms of cost and time.

Then, after you get Steam Greenlit, since we're a dev+publisher combo, there's a lot of communication back and forth, even more tasking with a language barrier! Like the Indie devs I mentioned earlier, they take care of it themselves for the most part, depending on how small or big they are. Lastly, there's the revenue split negotiation. A quick search on Google tells me the industry average is ~30%. It may be higher or lower, but since RedFox is a new company, we may not have a strong pull on Steam to get a lower split. So cost is, unfortunately, a huge deal. All in all, there's a lot to be done before Rumble Fighter should go on Steam.

But to answer your question, perrrrrrrrrrrsonally, I would think updating the game in terms of this and that are most important, BUT it isn't viable in terms of cost and time. Other than that, I'll probably have a better answer to this after I've played the game.

Also, to your second question - I won't answer that.

 

Well I'm not sure of the history of this game, but a good middle ground of what the community wants and what the developer needs seems to be a good plan for now. I don't 100% know what I'm going to be doing, but I hope to do it right.
