Hey there, I used to play on OGP's rumble fighter back in the day, tried getting back into it on Red Fox's RF, but I just didn't have the time to keep playing.
Are there ever any lobbies in the beginner channel? The game doesn't seem to be very fun for me when everyone is at such a high level, with all those fancy combos and Scrolls/exos everyone has. I could afford to spend a couple dollars in the game, but if pros are the only people to play against, then I don't see how I can enjoy the game.

Beginner channel is dead, the pro's is kinda all you got to face against BUT a lot of them to you may be pro's but they really are not. A lot of them make the same mistake if you pay close attention and thus you can easily beat them by taking advantage of such mistakes. Your best bet is to just learn some of the basic strategies of the game and it will let you jump into the fray a bit easier.

    1. Drift - this is important, try to make sure you are forcing them to attack you first so that if they screw up you can punish them. This might be difficult if you don't have at least 35 speed but its not hard to make a speed set with carats so just save up.

    2. Lure - You don't have to do this but I think it's similar to drifting but it emphasizes you forcing the opponent to attack first above all else. You can also lure them to the edge to grab them and toss em over the edge and stuff.

    3. Learn your scroll, not just the combos but the delays on each hit and at what punch or kick combo that you can "reset" with little delay so you can pressure your opponent. By this "reset" I am talking about you doing your punch combo like twice or 3 times, then starting it over as fast as possible without completing the combo. The "reset" is different for each scroll so you gotta figure out where its at through trial and error on whatever scroll you choose.

    4. Try to get a scroll that has a back grab so that way when you are fighting, you can still grab them whenever they move to the side to block you or try to miss your front grab.

    5. Crowd control exo's are good for team fights or dash exos such as attack booster if you do glacier a lot. This is preference, pick a exo you like and just get good with it basically. Remember, if your having fun, you will get better in due time.

    6. Don't be afraid to counter, this opens up many options for you upon successful counter. You can grab immediately after countering if you have default counter for some easy damage, pressure, etc. An alternative would be to start your combo on them again because they will maybe attempt to hit you back instead of guarding and if you are fast enough you will be able to hit them first before they can hit you. Another method would be to drift after countering, if they guard they will most likely change their guard direction to where you are and you can change the area of the battle by grabbing them and moving them somewhere else. Surroundings are very important.

7.) Ideally, people say you should never guard on edge maps, this has some validity but in all honesty, the feature is there for a reason so use it when applicable. If someone is spamming their combo at you then by all means counter or guard. With experience you will be able to gauge your opponent's skill level so you will know whether or not you should be guarding the entire time or when you should release the guard and immediately go in for the kill.

8.) Panic predictions are very important if you want to become really good at this game. Eventually with experience like I said earlier, you will be able to gauge your opponent and you will know when they will panic in your combo. That is when you guard and predict their panic. Then go for the kill. Note, 99% of the population use second panics now so you will have to put work in to predict the second panic because it is not always the same as when you predicted the first panic. Mind games is key, you have to know what your opponent is thinking. The good news is that everyone is quite alike so if you put yourself in your opponents shoes, when you panic is usually when your opponent would panic. Experience is key =).

Bottom line is, just have fun with the game, note what your opponent does when you are fighting. If they are beating you, try to see why they are beating you and attempt a counter measure and see if you can get more hits in that way or if you need to think of another counter measure.

Oh and almost forgot, make sure you jump kick A LOT. This is a great way to get out of a tight spot and it has a slight stun when landed so if you are fast enough you can easily chain a combo immediately after jump kicking.

That's kind of all I got for you right now but if you note these points, I guarantee that you will do better at this game then where you are right now. Best of luck and welcome to the community!

    Pretty much a ''dead game''.

I mean, Players can be active and run the open channel, But the Pro-Channel is fairly dead and the ones under it are worst. You're going to have to face all skill levels if you want to play and learn the sucky way.
