    Hello Fighters,

Today, I will be addressing a large number of concerns raised by the community, and we'll be first touching base on some topics last raised in my previous thread earlier this year.

Endless Possibilities in Restyling (Item Recolors/Recoloring System):
Due to legacy code, recoloring system is a lengthy and time consuming process. Given how some new implementations this year were not as expected, such as the User Interface changes - it is clear that if we go down this path, it will take an extensive amount of time. For the time being, it is more feasible to suggest item recolor suggestions as before. It won't be possible to implement every single item recolored from the get go, but we'll take a look at the top 3 items that the community wants recolored, and start with those first.

    Guild System Re-opening:
Earlier this year, we reopened the Guild System after many years of it being disabled. When I made my last thread, we stated that it will be completed by Q2 and we managed to implement it by early Q2. We intended to reopen the system in late Q1, but due to unexpected last minute hiccups we had to continuously delay the opening. Due to this, many players were upset that we promised a timeline and delayed it time after time. We won't be giving ourselves concrete timelines in the future to prevent this from occurring again, but we will at least communicate that similar implementations are in progress.

In order to prevent the same issues from happening from it was last disabled, additional measures were added. We're aware that disbanding guilds is still not possible, and this was for safety reasons as that was the number one issue. We're also aware that some players are forcibly soft locked into random guilds because of this. Once we determine that it is time to enable the function again, we'll communicate it to you all.

Ranked Mode (Guild War), Match Queue System & Attendance Calendar:
This topic is still under discussion. However, we are looking to repurpose the old tournament channel and the 1vs1 streak system which was used over 15 years ago to use that as the base foundation.

In regards to the improved attendance event in-game, this is exclusive to Rumble Fighter at RedFox Games after how incredibly dated the previous iteration was.

    Secret Key:
When this key was given out from the last spenders of 2025, the idea behind it was to utilize it for as an exchange for various goods, similar to Proof of Passion, Sands of Time & Orichalcon that have served similar purpose. However, it is a bit difficult to come in terms with the developer on specific exchange choices and therefore the plan has not been set in motion yet. Rest assured that this item has not been forgotten. We'll continue our discussions and update accordingly.

Now onto the various community topics.

Spenders Event - How is value determined?
When a spenders event is drafted, there are a few key things that we must first determine about the item that we plan to add into the spender.
    • Rarity - How many players possess this item and have it in their inventories?
    • Demand - How desired are these items from?
    • Cost - Cost of the item in past spenders, if any.
Due to how the spenders event works, there may be times where you see an item that was offered in a past spenders that was increased or decreased in cost.

We had our first spenders event in 2026 with the Sporty Summer Spenders, and many felt disappointed that this long wait of a spenders was shocking, especially the various temporary items found in the various tiers of the spenders event. With the current value of carat (as mentioned below), I do believe that the rewards provided for carat items is pretty good value in itself.

Before further confusion arises and to alleviate higher than normal expectations, I would like to inform you that going forward, the spenders event will not be held as frequently starting this year. This may change depending on certain circumstances.

With the Sporty Summer Spenders, requests for item suggestions were made prior to the event's implementation, with members from our moderation and/or community teams. However, we realize that the first time collaborative effort resulted in confusion, disagreement and miscommunication. Therefore, a request was made to improve the event after internal discussion. Spender tiers must be implemented similarly to Scenarios A & B, but cannot be implemented in C. It can cause the player to make miscalculations of their own if we make it jumbled all over the place.

    • Scenario A - Ladder of cost
      • Spend 1,200 RC
      • Spend 2,400 RC
      • Spend 3,600 RC
    • Scenario B - "One step, Two step"
      • Spend 1,300 RC
      • Spend 2,600 RC
      • Spend 5,200 RC
      • Spend 6,500 RC
      • Spend 7,800 RC
      • Spend 10,400 RC
        • BONUS: Spend 2,600 RC and receive X item (max: 4 times)
    • Scenario C - Not compatible and should not be used
      • Spend 1,500 RC
      • Spend 2,500 RC
      • Spend 3,700 RC
      • Spend 5,100 RC
Our spenders event offerings could be improved upon, but we also need to be wary of setting a predicament for future spenders. For instance, it would not make sense to implement every World Cup shirt in one spender, as most of the collection is considered quite rare and/or have low possession counts. Implementing all the items across the board sets a price point for that particular item forever, and devalues what the item should be worth.

Another concern is longevity. If all possible offerings are to be given out one year, what would we give the next year (or next period)? Rotating our offerings is how the spenders event can continue for many years to come, and implementing every offering in one spender will most likely not be approved/passed through anyway, as these events undergo internal review first, and may be modified.

Carat Spenders Event & General Carat Value Discussion:
In the history of Rumble Fighter, carat spenders have been very scarce in it's implementation. Back in 2019, we started implementing the carat spenders segment to many of our spenders. Why?

I firmly believed that at the time, the intention of having the idea of players using their hard earned carats through actively playing the game and/or it's events was a great idea. However, we have reviewed the data behind the carat spenders over the years and we've found patterns of spending that do not align with the idea that was behind the carat spenders event.
    • Gifting items to yourself on a different account, allowing for multiple of your accounts to take advantage.
      • Since ABC T-Shirt Box contents resell for 1,375 Carats for 2,500Carats per box, this allows for the gift sender to complete the spender while providing another account or player the same value in order to achieve 55% of the spender, and this process can be repeated several times, or back and forth to the same two players.
    • Gifting and then reselling high value items, such as ABC T-Shirt Boxes, allowing for either:
      • A separate account (such as yours and friends) to complete the spenders, even if they didn't have any carats saved up.
      • Allowing to complete the spenders event at a fraction of the intended cost.
    This results in:
    • Specific players having an advantage on the next spenders.
    • Practically items given for free, without initially earning them through gameplay earned currency.
Since the current iteration of carat spenders does not align in terms of fairness and has extensive loopholes that do not coincide with the original idea of the carat spenders, changes must be made. We are determining on a number of options to help combat this, such as mentioned below.
    • Gifting carats no longer being applied against carat spender thresholds.
    • Modifying the Carat spender to incorporate "Carats earned" as a requirement during the event period.
    • Modifying the resell price of various items, such as ABC T-Shirt box contents.
    • Preventing ABC T-Shirt boxes from being gifted, or modifying the shirts to "Can't resell".
As we require some extensive discussion on this matter with the developer, community and within the organization, the carat spenders in the Sporty Summer Spenders event will be the last carat spender in it's current iteration.

Furthermore, the trade value of Carats used to be 180CC (approx. 1,000RC) to 40,000 Carats back in 2015.
Today, that same carat value has dropped significantly, to 1,000RC to 250,000 Carats on average.

Until we determine on a concrete plan, there will not be any carat spenders for the time being after the current active one.

    Fisticuffs & Sunday Showdown:
This Fisticuffs event was first introduced back in January 2017, as a means to provide the opportunity for players to acquire various items through gameplay, and also offered the opportunity to socialize and hang out with staff members outside of the game forums.

However, over the years this event has become far too overpowered, and it was proven to be the case as many Fisticuffs participants are often the same winners each week. With the high amount of carats being given each week, as well as the unintended gift/resell method for carat spender - this meant that the average carat possession of each player was approximately 1.2 million carats and this number only kept growing over the years. We have found accounts possessing over 3 million carats in carat coupons and/or raw carat value on the account.

To combat the high amount of carat possession amongst players, carat spending items were introduced over the years, such as the:
    • New Enigma Chest
    • BF Event Special Box
    • Christmas Event Special Box
However, these items were subsequently removed over various reasons. During the time of the New Enigma Chest in store, the average carats needed to spent to acquire the Full-Impact scroll (which was the first skill item in a Carat loot box) was roughly 5 million. However, based on the data at the time of release - we found that many players acquired the scroll in a matter of days.

Compared to when Tactical Bow was first released during Rumble Fighter's time at the previous publisher - it took players quite some time (approximately a month, or just right before the Demonic Spear ExoCore was released) to acquire 51,000 Carats to purchase this new ExoCore.

When the Fisticuffs event initially started, only 10,000 Carats were given out. After May 2019, this offer extended to 50,000 Carats and often gets doubled, or on occasion tripled. Since a spenders event only happened every few months, the amount of carats potentially gained could be double, or triple of a carat spender.

Due to how overpowered the carat gain was, the 50,000 Carats reward was reduced to 30,000 Carats. However, this gain was still quite strong and carat value never returned to more normal values. To the general public, the feedback behind the Fisticuffs event was that it had always provided great rewards, but this feedback is flawed to where it typically where the winners of the event that would frequently win the event week after week relayed this feedback.

To the players that did not win frequently or never at all due to having to deal with various stats or skill items, this wasn't so good to them. There is a major flaw in determining if a specific event is "good" because many of the feedback that determines is good is from the same players who are winning.

Therefore, enter Sunday Showdown - which aimed to make the reward pool balanced between all participants. While this event was not perfect, it aimed to balance the rewards across the board. Quite obviously, the overall review regarding this event was not well perceived as it didn't fix the problem with the repeat winners. As expected, the players that were commonly winners of the Fisticuffs didn't feel like the reward pool was good.

When you think about the first iteration of the Fisticuffs event in January 2017, and compare it to Sunday Showdown, it is quite comparable. However, it would be quite unfair to compare the event directly to the overpowered version.

Sunday Showdown was discontinued after May 2026 after internal discussion. At this time, we do not plan to push out another replacement event.

    Rivalry Rumble:
This was the first event that we implemented alongside the new Ranking Leaderboard that was added.

The overall feedback was that it only counted Team Battle modes, and not Single Battle modes. The reason why single battle is not counted towards the event is due to abuse and ranking boosting.

There have been requests to decrease the 250 games threshold. However, we have reviewed the data and determined that no changes are necessary at this time as the 250 game threshold is reached by 90% of the Top 30 on a consistent basis.

We'll continue to review the event and make changes accordingly as needed.

This memo does not cover every single topic, but I do feel that it covers many of the topics most commonly raised on our official platforms, as well as community run platforms.

We will continue our efforts in a more enjoyable, fair and competitive Rumble Fighter experience and I will do my best to ensure player concerns are heard.

    Thank you,
    [CM]Fang
