Yo guys, ive tried grinding in Hainan, gotta admit i might be a bit on the low side being a HI9 nuker. Gear wise i think im quite set rocking the following: repel+18+2 bracers lvl 5 tiger/queen/fox tiger ex normal gold fire/ice moon ex flag 3 and blue ex OP deco Seowang lvl 5 lvl 3 set +15+2 good lvl 5 sup pet and pretty much everything i got has full dmg on crit opts you would think i'm decent enough to go to hainan but i get absolutely smacked around and killing a mob (solo without a healer) is an absolute hell. Is this purely due to my level or are there any tips n tricks i can take into consideration? thanks peeps
This has a lot of do with your level, try to make IS 6. Your dmg will still be on the lower end due to debuffs and missing gears but you won't die easily.
Aside from higher KL relics i dont think my gear can get much better PVE wise.. except for maybe HN relics and icy epi tho
It can, 3 of the 4 Storyteller relics offer PVE dmg, one half of Mirisa set gives dmg and FWD weapon, all can raise your PVE dmg significantly.

Rat relics are good as suggested mainly for the resistance set bonus. Next to levling I would also recommend to use const30 ornaments on all your clothes, the defense you get from the orns seems to make a big difference in HN. Also make sure to put the heal potions that drop in HN into your skill bar and put a permanent auto-cast on it.
Got about 1900 cons so dont think i can win much there. 140k hp without Buffs in hainan is quite **** tho
Cap defence is somewhere between 5 to 7k, the extra is there to "fight" against penalties, similar with YYBS resistance, cap is around 300.
Idk where you get that cap def number from but thats clearly not the case in PVE so your statement is wrong in that regard. A const30 ornament has 2k def. A full set of 24 pieces of const30 ornaments therefore give 24x2000 = 48'000 def. This def has a huge impact in HN grinding. I have tested it myself. Without the orns I couldnt grind 2 min straight without having to meditate. With the full set of 24 orns I can grind permanently without a single meditation needed while putting auto-cast on HN hp potions. Also here again since i'm on my PC now i'm gonna illustrate to @Dhdhsksj who didn't get what I was talking about. I wasnt talking about the HP. You can get max 18k HP as a nuker from a full set of 24 const30 orns. That sh!t can be neglected as 18k hp is basically nothing. The const orns are mainly important for their def not for their const.
You need way more def than that and also some critical defense. You must do some tradeoffs between dmg and defense in order to survive. You'd rather do something else with your time: Farm LLGC or CCDG instead of wasting it in Hainan.
Rather than seeing it as a waste of time i would like to focus on a way so that i can farm there properly lol
People already gave you the solution: get all zodiac relics and FWD weapon. But you said these relics are way to expensive so the real solution for affordable gear is to tradeoff damage for defense: - Equip Tiger Normal + Tiger Ex + Ice Marble + Smasher 5/6 and you'll notice that you won't take as much damage as before. - Get your nuker to IS6 so the damage you take would be reduced and increase ur damage overall; Why do I say it's a waste of time: Hainan requires thousands of materials which can be obtained on a decent drop rate. Most of the people that are farming Hainan will kill mobs 10x faster than you. People are selling ornaments / blood sac / animal bone stacks at a decent amount of money (5b for an exec crest (High) / 600-900kk per mat stack). Now try to do this... test how much it will take you to collect a stack of broken animal bone and how much it will take you to farm 1b to buy it. Hopefully you've got my point
Now that is quite a fair point, unless i get my hands on hainan relics and bracers which i wont anytime soon i might aswell farm what i can
