[NOTICE] Server Update Feedback

Something interesting happened today to me:
Every time I played on a popular map (Moon, Glacier, Dos, Etc.) the lag was absolutely horrible.
Every time I played on any other map (Sky Eden, Chinatown, Cliff Temple, etc.) the lag went back to how it was before.

I'm so confused...

Can we please get In-Match ping bars / numbers? Pleeeeease? I shouldn't have to beg for a feature that should have been implemented to begin with.

 

EU is literally unplayable. Haven't gotten 2 bars yet with any EU players.
You've completely disregarded every EU player. Was planning on getting back to RF but it clearly isn't going to happen.

 

Hey thankyou for trying to fix to servers or putting up effort as promised. I have noticed it being slight better i can actually grab people now sometimes.. but thats a work and progress , still laggey tho but better at times

 

Damn that kinda hurts man

the lag is really taking a hit on the community

it's shocking (or probably not shocking) to see only 1 page of rooms everyday (it used to be 2-3 pages)


time is important, and shouldn't be wasted

 

If you guys are still struggling get a asw server.

 

In all honestly, Yesterday It was better, but now today I see more lag than usual. Idk if it's just me but everyone I fight can grab me but I can't grab anyone LagGameStrong

 

I don't know why everyone's acting like lag is new, it lags about as much as i remember when i started playing again a year ago, which felt really familiar to what i remember from OGP days.

This lag isn't patchable dude. I'm convinced it's just because how the game was built, this game is ooooold. played this back when i played ragnarok and maplestory. sh*t was looong time ago

I get no more than 5 ping, no less than 60fps on ultra settings on chinese Overwatch, RF is the only game I have on here that lags in ANY way.

 

I think you're missing the point. This lag is caused by some form of DDOS mitigation (very likely under a VPN than a dedicated server), and the lag the players are experiencing is much different than the OGP (and GC) era because of it

Tested yesterday with a pc on the same network: dbz level lag
Today: normal
Yet to try with other players. Daed gaem

 

Big improvement today after the update.

It's just like it was before in glacier. I can hit players much better than before.

0 issues on EU, heck, I even played some NAs semi decently, could connect grabs n all. It's smooth and good basically

I don't know what you guys did over at RedFox, but by fixing the lag you've allowed players to be hit off again.

The lag is gone but I'm hearing more complaints of DDoS again.

 

Once the server stabilizes I feel that the game will make much more revenue than now. The server and lag issues should be a priority next to in game content. I love the game and community. Keep up the good work rf team!

 

They un Vpn'd the servers so people can get IPs again lul
