Seems weird that the game still using an archaic way of connection. Are there even any benefits to it being p2p and not having an actual server.. For some reason I still lag on here but on every other game known to man internets having a problem.

because the game was built with some outdated old a$$ game engine (lag, bugs, and other problems) + p2p games work better in small countries like korea (benefit)

Changing the connect type would also change how rooms work. For all we know, they might end up removing our ability to make rooms, forcing us to get lucky with entering their pre-made rooms and hoping it's got the maps we want to play on, or perhaps it would be like how TF2 works in the that regard. If that happens, the 8player format would probably change, which could be cool. Can you imagine the maps getting even bigger, to allow us to play with 16+ players at a time?

Meanwhile, that would cost a fortune that not even our biggest spenders can provide. :v We have to remember: Nimonix and Redfox are basically Indie companies. Nimonix only has Rumble Fighter in their repertoire, and I don't know howw popular any of the other games on Redfox are. (Probably more popular than RF since they probably have less bugs that cause crashes for stupid reasons. Seriously, why can't I alter my character in the waiting room without fear of changing something at the same time as someone with a cape entering the room causing the game to freak out and crash? :< )

I would say its more of the developers fault as to how the game doesn't run well, as 9Dragons was developed by an indie game company as well and I think it was fully released in it's original market before rumble fighter was released in its original market in Korea.

p2p isn't bad for RF in theory because it works beautifully in Korea.
it just sucks for us bc north america, and even between countries in europe, is widespread

If RF wasn't P2P, there would be even more lag.

P2S connection doesn't fix lag if your internet sucks and your PC is worth $200 of garbage.

This is the overall problem nowadays on RF. Majority of these kids running RF on a PC made out of junk. That's why some people have 4 bars and still lag.

You can't have epic internet but a PC made out of legos and expect to be lag free.

Because changing the entire structure of how this game runs its network structure would cost a fortune in order to implement that this game simply cannot afford.
You would need to invest into a dedicated server that would become the service for every person that plays the game, not just the room masters.
You would also need a team in order to maintain those servers, when this game can't even afford to have moderators to keep order both in game and in forums.
It may also require them to completely change how the game functions entirely as mentioned by Ztar, players may not be able to host their own rooms in a client server architecture, it may need to become a pseudo random based system where you would be matched in a room of complete strangers. Not to mention the cost it would be in order to completely changed the infrastructure of the game if that is the case.
And as mentioned by other posters p2p is not the full issue with this game. The market that this game was originally designed for is Korea, with some of the best internet speeds in the world. The issue also comes down to the performance on the users end as well, its a matter of the user's own PC capabilities as well as the ISP they use. Not everyone in the world buys the necessary bandwidth in order to support internet speeds capable of having a stable connection with those not only within the continent of north america, but also within other countries.
They would also need to set up several servers in order to support the full range of the community that plays this game, unless they make the decision to make it exclusively NA based, and god knows they could barely afford one server, let alone several in order to support the small EU based that this game has.
With all the scheming crap this game does with boxes, spenders, events, and overpriced marketing, the profits going to Maintaining the state of the game as it is, and as long as people on this game spend money on the bull **** they will continue to let it barely float.
