Avalons nerfed (for exos)?

Did avalons get permanently nerfed for enhancing exo skills?

Is it a bug? My avalons don't do the damage they used to.

 

NimoniX was trying to "balance" things for the new wave of new Steam players.

When they realized Steam didn't help, they felt stupid wasting all the time and resources on something that isn't gonna help players stay. Also I'm pretty sure the damage ui bug is NOT a bug but purposely done so it can give new players a feel that they do hella damage when they don't.

At this point, they don't feel like fixing(aka reversing) things they screwed up because it would be a waste of time and effort.

I'm not talking about the damage display bug, I'm talking about the actual damage done by avalons lol.

pretty much all of the "overused" exocores that were coupled with avalons were set to deal a set number damage regardless of your avalon

some others.. like blood lord, destructive staff were nerfed in damages a while ago, and blood lord no longer cancels attack in Boss Mode.

as for the recent incident with the avalon drivers, i believe they're working fine as of now

 

speaking about avalons, damage in general got nerfed

40 STR with 200 Crit (not assassin) can outdamage a user with 90 STR and 30 crit

crit builds now scale way higher than strength builds, which makes crits the new standard for damage

I tested this, so I can confirm that this is true

Strength sets are losing relevance that's the nerf

Crits stayed the same. Strength hasn't been the same anymore

 

lol it only makes sense for crits to be stronger than strength. choosing assassin during rebirth was useless if you had little to no crit

It's sad to say, but I'm starting to see how Assassins can be better than Savers. That extra damage is just so hard to ignore. I mentioned that the 40 STR user with 200 crit didn't even have assassin. Imagine how much more damage that person would've done with the assassin class.


With the new scrolls, Saver class is losing much effectiveness. Parkour, Volador, Ice Breaker, Jujitsu SE and other scrolls are adapting the anti-saver meta. Future scrolls are soon adapting this too. And saver can sometimes lose people games, because of how easy it is to punish

 

you see, saver was never meant to be "spammed" because you'll eventually get predicted performing it for being dumb

with that being said, saver has always been a double-edged sword, so with newer scrolls "countering" it, comes bigger responsibility for the user to use it only as a "last resort". for example, you can use it against cyclone's kick combo (you go on the ground before they recover from the last kick) and in return, punish your opponent

personally, i find myself liking assassin better just for the sound effects

 

That is like the only thing I find saver really useful for, it's the kryptonite to Cyclone/Cyclone BF LE users.

but besides that, Assassin class seems to be an overall better class. More damage to bring into a 1vs1, and more damage to bring into a BM. No counterplay to more damage, but there's counterplay to Saver.

Choosing assassin with a little crit is still a lot.
As what i seeing choosing savor is one of utter uselessly.

Because i can easy infinite juggle savor user with my black hitman. even snake shoalin able to do any the special the launcher juggle.

I using 30 str with about 30 crt with assassin is still outdamage over 100 str with 400 crit with avalon and assassin user. :>

 

i guess it's a matter of preference at this point. do you like getting up fast or do you like defeating fast
