What you people are doing , until Fox Start their Server ?! Me playing League of legend , i left 9D GC us !
I still play on GC and especially I sold all the stuff I have farmed. The worst part now is that I start to have very good items and nice amount of gold ><.
Is it actually worth still playing? Logged on yesterday only to see several stands selling 50-100 purified skins for 1g. Duping seems out of control.
I used to play to spend some time have fun and make evolve my account (especially with some alt account the latest months). I still haven't all banner there so I have always something to do... it's just a game after all if it's doesn't worth to play on GC it won't worth to play on any version. I spend more time IRL than in game so I am not a real geek of MMO. For me it's more a latest option when weather sux or I don't have bier to drink with friends and of course when I don't work hehe. I don't think I am a good example to follow, I am not enough crazy MMO geek, I just come to have some other fun
A lot more needs to be done to secure the game before new content is released because a lot of new content adds more options to exploitation.
yeah. then having Kr content would be a plus. i assume the Kr server has been dealing with ahcks this whole time so they should have allot of solution. and on another up side it should be way easier to get content now. same version so the only real problem is translation.
There is a pattern here. When a new publisher opens, another publisher is affected. The developers are largely at fault because they provide broken content and publishing rights to highest bidders. If we only had one publisher from the very start, things would still probably be as bad but at least everyone would be under one umbrella. Instead we have pop up publishers that come and go, make new promises and leave us short without fulfilling any of those promises. I absolutely love this game largely because it has been part of my childhood and I have grown up around the game - I wonder if this game is actually good or we all are addicted to nostalgia. Even with some trivial information updates I'm still definitely interested in this game and the two staff so far have been very welcoming and responsive, if you ask them a genuine question, they'll respond. That is at least a number one priority for me, I feel you need to have some camaraderie with the staff as it shows respect to each other but also shows the staff are in your corner - something we haven't seen properly in a long time. I personally believe this is one reason why people left for private servers, the staff were more responsive, some more professional and the game could do in a direction without being tied into publishers or the nefarious publishers. I'm not saying private servers are better than publishers, I'm saying they are equal in different ways. Here so far the staff engage and speak to the community, big point for RF already! I've been on PA for a while now and I respect the staff a hell of a lot. It isn't easy running a server in this day but if you take a few minutes to look at them, they respect and acknowledge their community, they know they cannot get the newest content but that doesn't stop them from bringing out content. I know the content isn't always 'big' but they do put hard work into the content. I even saw Elysium doing larger content updates and actually responding to players on FB, etc... If a publisher with the actual content possibility, developers behind them and 'professional' staff have all that but can't even compare to the passion and commitment of a smaller group of equally skilled people on a private server networking, someone is doing something wrong. I'm not hating on publishers, I still actively play on GC and I still play on servers. I play on servers for a bit of a laugh and to meet some different groups of people. There is less abuse and arguments on servers and the staff are open to communicate, you don't have to wait on a DQ&A for weeks to get a response. Usually if a GM in a server is in-game, chances are they'll be able to speak to you, on the publisher version they'll either be invisible or they'll blank you entirely. If communication and respect just increased by the staff, this could be the one. It's not at all the same but if you look at Riot, they actively communicate with players. I know the funding and staff count is minuscule for this publisher but it wouldn't hurt just to have that 'go to' staff member where we can speak to them. GC treats us like piggy banks and once we have no money left we are no longer in existence. We iterate through publishers, usually forcing us to start again and reverse months or years of hard work because the publisher we now have doesn't want us or the game anymore so back into the recycling bin we go with no explanation. I'm tired of having to play the game 'for the moment' and not forever. All games come and go but with this one you always feel like you're on burrowed time. Publisher after publisher and not once does a developer or anyone in charge actually come forward until months or years later. I saw the "Letter to the community" and recently "Message from the developers" and their words mean nothing because nothing holds true. I'm not calling them out as liars, they just don't ever stick to their promises. MMO's come and go but there is something special about this game. There are even some MMO's still in existence that have a small team but regularly pump out content. ATITD has one or two developers but still sees hundreds of players per day - they are passionate and work for the love of their players not for financial gain. I mean look at Stendhal which has been going since 2008 has about 5 developers but is still running and they spend huge amounts of hours into their games just look at these change log for their 'sea update' https://arianne-project.org/game/stendhal.html#changes It seems all we get are either messy bits of code that add a few items based on crafting systems with unfair probabilities but include micro transactions of crafting items needed to increase your chances or have more chances. Everything in this game is surrounded by updates that mean you can spend more money. It's unfair and it's not right to players. We've stuck by this game for what has been over a decade in development, I mean testing for this game has been on-going since 2002 according to the Wiki and other websites. So why on earth are we just thrown scraps and not full game expansions. The developers behind this have to understand this by no means is a 'polished' game and both engine and framework are incredibly outdated. Someone could easily take any number of free engines such as Cryengine, Unity or UE4 design characters with better meshes, textures and a higher poly count and actually release content for the game that works. The developers need to understand, we provide the finances which is why there are so many versions in circulation currently across the world. The developers aren't special and their work isn't great, they should also thank themselves the private server community haven't bothered to emulate the game or acquire the source code because I honestly believe the development would increase but more people would go back to private servers if people had access to writing and doing what they want. This game is old, the mechanics are old, the content is old, everything about the game feels like a Playstation 2 game still stuck in 2015 but I don't care. I love this game and I'll stick by this game but not everyone is as patriotic and with new games coming out, free MMO's being released each year which are free and graphically/content superior, there is enough to choose from to make the population drop further and further each year. We're a fragmented community who are pissed off by the changes or drops and it isn't right. That's how I feel about this for the new publisher. It's a long rant and I expect nobody to read it but I had to put it out there.
Yes i agree with you , hope that this Publisher will Be Better that the previous One and the last -_- ! But with all that , you don't say what you do till the release
