at what point in time did rf go down hill?

Yeah the top 10 boxes also increased scroll diversity, which was good. But the backlash caused by the boxes was so overwhelming, that people couldn't be grateful for it. I honestly didn't mind the boxes because of its balancing factor, but people were so upset of the true motive behind it. The top 10 boxes were done because they were the most demanding scroll/exo for the OGP->GC transfer, and Gamescampus decided to profit off that demand.

As much good as I think the boxes can do for the game, I don't think everyone is on the same page. It would be great if people saw the boxes as a way to balance the game.

 

Yeah the KP knockback animation should be changed to Soulless kG grab effect (Soulless kG doesn't knock back very far). Combat Taekyyon's KP is by far the strongest 2 hit knockback in the history of 2 hit knockbacks

 

I've obtained almost 2 years of over half of the top10 boxes thru free to play means. I really do laugh when I hear people complain about them because they basically moved the best 10 scrolls to be accessible to free users i.e. 2day box and 5ish gold tickets per month. Also people forget a handful of those scrolls actually got updates like ZTKD's kG going down ledges.

 

hah nice. I never got a single free top 10 scroll out of those golden ticket->top10 box things.

But yeah, it's definitely a good way to compensate for the box's existence

 

The other thing is, RF has been around for almost 10 years. Most games don't last half that long. I remember being amazed it was still so active in 2011, now here we are 5 years later. It seems like it was/is a fairly lucrative game, I'm kinda surprised there's been no talks for a sequel.

I wonder what the average amount of players on during the peak of RF's popularity was.. For some reason, while I played, I always assumed it was really low (like under 3k), but looking back it was probably pretty decent.

RF had the potential to become huge though. It is still the best fighting game online and nothing compares to it. Honestly, if they ran RF a bit more like gemfighter, the game would be much better

It doesn/t matter. Gem from the get go was infinitely better ran. If RF had been run the same way initially, the game would be better as of now
