Most of us know that RF is going to Steam pretty soon and with that will come new players. One of my concerns is that it might be to difficult for the new players to advance in the game. They might get frustrated and quit early. I don't think that boxing is a very good scroll to start people off with. I believe you should start off noobs with a lot of timed items. My suggestions of what scrolls you should start new players off is below. Scrolls: -30Days Drunken Master -30Days Lucha Libre -30Days Mao Gong -30Days Darksider Exocore: -30Days Suriya Crystal -30Days Devil Fang One reason why I am suggesting these things is simply because I want newer players to stay. I personally don't believe boxing can keep up with op scrolls and veteran players. Especially considering the maps most of us play on. The things I suggested are timed and wouldn't even make RedFox lose anything. Earning Carats is easy if you have booster items and you farm quest but a new player might not even know what to buy and buy something like Street or Renegade. Now, they probably spent all their carats for scrolls that still can't compete. If they have these 30Day scrolls and Exocores that are actually pretty good for being carat scrolls they might be able to compete still. Anyone has an opinion on this matter?
Yeah we need the new players to have a truck load of those boxes that give timed scrolls and the scrolls should all last 30 days each box, so that way, they will never have to worry about not having a good scroll for a long long long time
What do you think of @Rfirezilla idea about giving them almost all carat scrolls so they know what to save up for?
Definitely change Mao Gong cus that **** is straight trash af That's a pretty good idea for new players
Good idea too, 10 scrolls tho. Don't want non players making new accounts just to use 30+ scrolls to mess with new players just cuz their accounts aren't poping.
Was just thinking about thimaster The first scrolls u should get are drunken master(edging skills) Red leg(all around) Jin Tekkyon (the Zin tkd) And meriken (best carat 1v1 scroll) Exocores You would want something that's good but not cancerous as not to get them discriminated so I suggest Electronica since it's easiest to use and will get easy kills cuz of invincibility frames And devil fang
I suggest changing the stuff inside the permanent scroll and exo boxes cuz most of those scrolls are trash and not all players will have time to grind for scrolls or want to drop money so giving them a solid scroll that will keep them playing is a must I recommend not putting rares or people will spam Zin taekwondo -well rounded and has a very difficult reset for players to learn Tongbeiquan -very easy to use Red leg very good scroll and will save some carats to buy another carat scroll Muay boran -viable in any situation edging and 1v1 Jin Tekkyon - a very interesting scroll with 2 launchers Limen - a very good scroll with 3 launchers multiple fence edgers and big aoes to help players learn how to aim Darksider -no argument one of the best carat scroll Zin karate -anyone can use this cmon now Keep praying mantis in there tho
you need to thoroughly brainstorm about your ideas regarding new players receiving timed/perm items upon account creation the past incentives given to returning/new players have been and still can be abused giving basically the whole sub section of scrolls to a player, whether timed or not, is both overwhelming and a bit unnecessary. a player based survey should be given to well experienced players, such as people who make guides and whatever else, so that they could provide an estimate of 5 scrolls that would suite a beginner player. the exos already provided are okay for beginners, imo another idea could be improving the tutorial process a bit more aside from the little incentives you can get from completing the quest line in the little menu or whatever, some sort of boost should be given to the player after they complete the tutorial, i.e around 20k carats or so to purchase the scroll that one may have potentially enjoyed but has ran out there are multiple possibilities
I remember logging into gem fighter and they basically start their new players off with a lot of timed scrolls. I forgot my account info, so idk if it's like that now.
I believe they will have a steam set. They might take the steam sets Gamescampus planed on releasing but I don't 100% know.
Lol, I've said this already, if the map is moon, glacier, or dos I will spam. I have played other maps and not spammed because moon and those maps are now not even worth playing fair anymore.
