I was thinking today and I was wondering if this was something the devs have considered... I feel like this will help make items be worth way more than what they are now. And instead of waiting for an event, you could just buy an item off of someone you know? Would be cool ):

I highly doubt nimonix was planning to do anything with steam after accomplishing the task of getting rf on it, and that was only because of our constant nagging

Oh yea? When did Nimonix actually listen us and created da **** or improve da **** what we want? Nope we don't remember at all. We only remember that we are running out of our money that Nimonix won't improve da game. Oh and RedFox won't listen us what we want the items that they will slap us.

There's problems with players purchasing and then spending their RC via Steam, so I can't imagine what would happen if this were to be a thing.

Remember the time the general community suggested an idea that was actually a functional one that could be used? Neither did I.

Most of the suggestions the community is upset about Nimo not taking are ideas that are mechanically impossible.

At this point, it may be faster to just get a group of RF fans, teach 'em all certain aspects of game design (3d modeling, gameplay coding, menu coding, UI design, music design, etc. maybe have a few of them to be voice actors/actresses) and have them make their own RF-style game instead of waiting on Nimonix to improve the quality of RF. :v

Get a better monitor /w higher resolution because theres nothing wrong with RF's graphics. I grew up with an N64 and a PS1, never once complained about popeye arms or googly eyes.

See, N64 and PS1's graphics were set in stone.

Yes but what you and the others are asking for is a HUUUGE amount of work that isn't necessary to the games MECHANICAL progression. Capcom vs SNK 2 is still THE best fighting game ever made and never have I once said "y'know, these graphics are old" because they are just a visual medium, an aesthetic. The months of time they'd spend working on a new graphic system alone plus converting all our items to it would be an immense amount of time they wouldn't be able to release updates. Console based fighting games are a good example of this.

You see how this is an unfounded idea, right?

Well there's really a difference between having something that's old and having something that's just straight up ugly.
Here's Smash Bros on gamecube (240P) from 2001

    Here's Smash Bros 2014 (Wii U)

    K, now here's RF in 2006

See, games on consoles can't change their graphics
But PC games can. They can get total overhauls and I've seen it before.
Hell, if you download Dolphin Emulator and look online you can see people (random people that aren't game devs) made HD texture packs for games like zelda twilight princess that look far better than the actual HD re-release

Is that why Melee never left EVO while the Smash community is always going back to and focusing on Melee despite 2-3+ new Smash games having come out? Your own comparison has betrayed you. :p

    Mechanics 1 Graphics 0
