What happened to rx vega being $400 and $500 dollars respectively? They don't even have stock, are weaker than their gtx counterpart, and they cost up to 1000 USD ....
Yous wrong tho. Much higher memory bandwidth 409.6 GB/s vs 192.2 GB/s Around 2.2x higher memory bandwidth Much better floating-point performance 10,544 GFLOPS vs 3,953 GFLOPS Around 2.8x better floating-point performance Much higher texture rate 329.5 GTexel/s vs 123.5 GTexel/s Around 2.8x higher texture rate More memory 8,192 MB vs 6,144 MB Around 35% more memory Many more shading units 3,584 vs 1,280 2304 more shading units Many more texture mapping units 224 vs 80 144 more texture mapping units Higher pixel rate 94.14 GPixel/s vs 74.1 GPixel/s More than 25% higher pixel rate Much wider memory bus 2,048 bit vs 192 bit Around 10.8x wider memory bus More render output processors 64 vs 48 16 more render output processors The take away: yes they are premium price for premium goods. YES you can purchase two GTX and SLI for the same cost and have more raw output. but its new tech that will lower in price. This is mostly new infrastructure - so its also pron to bugs ect. If you want more bang for the buck - GTX SLI ect. IF you want new shiny $$$$ showoff-ness - Vega Most Vegas are also going for above retail because fgts like me are buying multiples and depleting stocks.
Huh that's funny cause I looked at some benchmarks and I'm not saying that the 1080 and 1070 SHITS on vega but they still outperform them in games. And if you look on amazon right now you can get a 1080 for 500 USD. AMD was NOT ready for this at all. They're a dollar short and a day late. I've been seeing people say this since the rx 480/580 "Just wait for vega", then when vega comes out "Wait, they're going to release new drivers", then "Wait for Navi" It's a shame, I was excited too. Now I'm just gonna buy the 1080.
K I dont care. Ill sit pretty with my duo vega, you can put space heaters in your comp - thats u bro. DAta and specs can be very easily swayed by fandoms and there are way to many examples of it. Again - If you want more bang for the buck - GTX SLI ect. IF you want new tech and more raw power - Vega.. A great example and i will leave at this - Due to higher refresh / pixel / mem refresh the Vegas will outperform GTX duo sli on 4k monitors, while a lower grade/tier/quality monitor will let the duo sli'd GTX cards out perform. If you cant match the tech across board it dont help. Its like putting a solid state drive in a 15 Y/o IBM, yeah it will speed it up slightly but MF that bich only got 256mb ram she aint gonna move that MUCH faster. Also dont trust youtube reviews fgt 1080 is a good card you will enjoy it.
