very nice, i love the build up i haven't heard ur stuff in a while, serious improvement this is my fav that you've done bud, love the melody i dont know how to word it just yet, but it was just a bit mushy on the drop, wish the synths were just a lil cleaner with the rest of the sounds -- im learning to make music, do you use ableton? any tips off top that would've helped u in the beginning?
Thanks I've been in a slump in terms of making music until right after finals where I had something I was working on and an idea for the rest of it. The first drop is inspired by porter robinson though it's my own synths. The second one was kinda based off hvdson bay and also my own future bass style. Idk what you mean by mushy it might be the mixing because I don't post master unless you mean the sidechaining which was intentional. I use FL 12 but I'd recommend looking into Massive. It's a good tool for making many of the synths you hear in EDM. I looked at a few tutorials one of them I use for the saw synth is by Pusher. Something I try to do is think about how producers make certain sounds in the music I listen to.
I can't believe you are still lurking on the forums. After all this time I thought would have like.... made a waffle, gone to IHOP, something productive. Nice song though.
