    Hello all,

    I was checking out my elemental effects on my character.
    I check a simple 20% attack amulet, that should increase my attack power with 20%, but only 8,3%.
    To be clear, the only gear worn was a weapon and that amulet.

    I tried this as well with other weapons and even with the FR gear that should boost force users with 39% force attack. However, the reality is that it only boosts a force user with 16,2%.

    What is this witchery? Can someone explain how the effects of gear and accesies work?

    Thank you for reading and thinking along.

    Hi. RF Online uses the weapon base damage to calculate your attack. Let's say your weapon has a base attack of 1000 - 2000 at +0. Then your general attack will be simple your weapon damage, that is 1000 - 2000.

    By equiping a elemental (20% like yours) your general attack will be 1200-2400. Now let's say you equiped another 20% amulet, now your general attack will be 1400-2800, not 1440-2880 as you might be thinking.

    The point is always use your weapon base damage to calculate your bonuses.

    To simplify your total damage is equal to the formula:

    DMG = weapon_base * (1+total_attack_bonuses/100)

    , where weapon base is your weapon base damage (not counting the bonuses from talics) and total_attack_bonuses are the bonus from elemental, force armor, talics etc...

    so by our example, 1000-2000 is the weapon base damage and 2x 20% amulets give us a total of 40% bonus so...

    MIN_DMG = 1000*(1.4) = 1400
    MAX_DMG = 2000*(1.4)=2800
