    Outside game related errors

Game wont start (see launcher.exe log):

In that case the logfile usually looks like this:
File "ShapedFrame.pyo", line 238, in OnButtonClick
pywintypes.error: (2, 'ShellExecute', 'The system cannot find the file specified.')"

    1. Check if your AntiVir moved files associated with TwelveSky2 Classic into quarantine and restore the files.
      • Open the AntiVir user interface and click Security → Quarantine.
      • Tick the desired file and Restore.
    2. Check if your WinDefender moved associated with TwelveSky2 Classic into quarantine and restore the files.
      • Open Windows Security.
      • Select Virus & threat protection and then click Protection history.
      • In the list of all recent items, filter on Quarantined Items.
      • Select an item you want to keep, and take an action, such as restore.
    3. Whitelist those files within your AntiVir/WinDefender/Firewall
      • Open Windows Defender Security Center.
      • Click Virus & threat protection.
      • Click Virus & threat protection settings.
      • Scroll down to Exclusions.
      • Click the Add or remove exclusions.
      • Click the Add an exclusion button to display a drop-down list.
      • Select Folder.
      • Continue with the on-screen directions to add the new folder exclusion.

    Gameguard 255 :

This issue is typically caused by outdated Drivers or false/positive read from your Firewall and occurs when trying to launch the Game.
    1. First of all you should go through all the steps mentioned above.
    2. If that doesn't solve the problem it could have something to do with your graphic card driver (GPU drivers and Gameguard bite each other) so make sure that your graphic card drivers are up-to-date.
If you want to check your current driver version you can do it this way:
      • Start > Run (or Flag + R) Note: Flag is the key with the Windows* logo on it.
      • Type DxDiag in the Run Window.
      • Press Enter.
      • Navigate to the tab listed as Display 1.
      • The driver version is listed under the Driver section as Version.
      • If it says 1113.333 that means your current Driver is on Version 3.333 the first number before and the following numbers after the dot are important.
Here are some common GPU manufacturer where you can get your drivers from: NVIDIA, AMD, Asus, Intel.

    mGXD::init(xx) :
This issue is typically caused by outdated Drivers and occurs when trying to launch the Game.
    1. First of all go through the steps 1.and 2. mentioned above. ("Game wont start")

      • Type dxdiag, and then click OK.
      • On the System tab, note the version of DirectX that is displayed on the DirectX Version line.
      • On the various tabs, check the version information for each DirectX file.

Game closes after cinematic/random after couple minutes:
This issue is typically caused by a Windows Security or Anti-virus have either deleted or quarantined a file from the TwelveSky2 Folder. (Same as "Game wont Start")

    Account In Use:
Mostly happens after getting a DC .
    1. Wait a couple minutes and relog into the Game.
    2. Use Taskmanager (ctrl+alt+del) to force quit any TwelveSky2 and Gameguard related processes (rightclick → end process) relog after.
    3. Restart your Computer and relog after.

    Catastrophic failure:
Occurs when downloading/redownloading the game due to damaged files or registry remnants.

I am not responsible for any loss or damage caused when deleting Temp files.

    1. Open the "All Users" folder (For WinXP: "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users", For Vista/Win7/Win8/Win10: "C:\Users\Public").

    8. Verify that "Allow" is checked for "Full Control". If it is not, please check it. (For Vista/Win7/Win8/Win10: please click "Edit" to Update it.)
    9. If there are any other entries in the group or user names list, repeat steps 8-9 for each of them.
    10. Click on "Apply", then click on "OK".
    11. Go to start screen, type and search %Temp%, then delete all of them. (C:\Users<user account>\AppData\Local\Temp.)
    12. Go to Windows Explorer at C:\Windows\Temp, and delete all the files under Temp folder.
    13. Go to the Start screen, type and search Windows Update. Then select "Check for updates" from the search list to check and install all important updates.
    14. Reboot your computer.
I am not responsible for any loss or damage caused when deleting Temp files.

    Unknown Error Occured. (900)

An error that occurs when launching the game via steam.
    1. Make sure that you are running the launcher without any files being blocked by your AntiVir or Windows firewall.
    2. Try running the game from the Steam Folder directly Run as Administrator (\Steam\SteamApps\common\TwelveSky 2 Classic).

    Inside Game related errors

    Untradeable Rares:

There are some items you can't sell or delete that easily most of those items
you can simply enchant and salvage after to get rid of them or use them as cs material but there are also items where the steps I mentioned don't help.
In this case you have two options:

    1. Create a character on your account and trade the item via Gatemaster Storage and delete that character after.
    2. Open a ticket and let the support team help you with that.

    Flickering mouse:

This problem mostly occurs on Laptops.
    1. Click start
    2. Type "Mouse" , select Mouse.
    3. Go to "Pointer Options"
    4. Under visibility, select Pointer Trails and put to short. (Drag bar all the way to the left)
    5. Hit Apply and Ok
You can also try to play a bit around with your DPI.

    Missing quests:
Quests are disabled, you ask why?
