To be fair, I have about ... a lot of those random scroll and exo boxes. If they just play, they'll get plenty of free timed scrolls and exos tbh :x
TBH all of these scrolls besides Darksider maybe to hard for new players. For example I remember playing with someone who got Lucha from lvl 11 scroll box and said that it was ass because they couldn't use it properly
Also, I think it would be a good idea to give them every carat scroll so they can tryout which ones they want so they can save up for that one.
another important thing would be to give them a tutorial on channels ( or make the default channel on login NOT FREE CHANNEL) so they dont have to play with "gg ez" during the steam release. This would partially solve the skill gap issue
I agree that the beginners pack should be renew'd but I don't think its ideal to overwhelm the new players with scrolls that has too much things to understand. As a new player, they won't really think about countering or grabbing. They will think about punching, kicking and ramming A LOT, until they get the feeling of how the controls really work.
Just give them 30 day shoot, zin, and cap, at least be fair when it comes to newbies vs op-should've-been-boxed-scrolls.
Wow, I never thought this topic would ever pop up again it's always been up there on the list but never in the real top 10. Honestly it be pretty easy to implement,however we would still need a very important ingredient : "New Players"
