If gun control really worked then Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington DC would be the safest place to live in but they're not. They have strict Gun Laws but Criminals are still able to get their hands on it. How you ask? Blackmarket.

I wouldn't refer to LA and Chicago's gun laws as 'strict' lmao. My point is as long as guns are easily accessible, casualties will go up. The number of people that own a gun and the number of deaths by shootings are directly related. Why is that? Because as the number of people that own a gun increases, so does the number of deaths by shootings.
Gun ownership by anyone that is not trained to do so should become illegal, otherwise the number of mass shootings and deaths by shootings will keep on increasing. That is the cold hard truth.
And once again, guns were created for war and power, not for protecting others.

You bring up fair points. But the thing is, guns are easily obtainable for everyone in the U.S. If someone wants to obtain a gun to protect themselves, they can easily do so. In fact, many people have already done so. Therefore, according to your logic, gun violence should go down right?
Wrong. It's gone way up. And it's because guns are so easily accessible. Even if LA and Chicago have one of the most strict Gun Laws in America, realistically it isn't even that strict. People can still easily obtain guns even with those laws. I'm saying eliminate the ability to even obtain guns and America will see a huge decrease in casualties.
If the defenceless really want to feel safe, they should learn a martial art. Those are meant for self defense, not guns.
