I haven't played for years but ever since I found out Lost Saga has been executed, I realized RF is the last standing game of the OGPlanet era. Last time I checked the game barely was able to hold a page of players during any time of the day with content updates not holding any new content, mostly just events. Everyone's crew has slowly dwindled in size as the years gone on. I use to use the forums a ton and most of the familiar names are absent. I know it's ironic for the person who made the "RF is dying" video to be sad about it dying, but honestly I made that video mostly as a middle finger to the community I grew to hate. I'm really not sure if the game slowly died because the game was truly too flawed to flourish or if the community was too toxic for most people to handle. I'm just gonna hop on and do everything one last time as true closure for myself so I don't let it slip like Lost Saga did. I remember I googled free to play fighting games and found this in the 4th grade, but I don't think rumble fighter is even on the first 10 pages on the google search now. We're all old now and the game is barely standing. It's really sad.
No one really knows how long this game has but Nimonix and RedFox staff. They won't disclose that info and after that is pure speculation. My theory is Nimonix will try to keep renegotiating with RedFox to keep the game up. If there is no updates than they really don't need to spend money on devs. As long as they make more money than the servers cost I guess they could keep it running. If my theory is not true than it most likely will shut down soon based upon the massive decline in player support (but this is just my opinion).
Not much longer, very few players stuck with the game. The lack of updates and player base will kill the game sooner or later.
Honestly don't know why. Can't believe it went from 20+ pages of rooms of all types of maps/game modes to one page of moon and cove. Even the professional, semi-pro channels were poppin when you first started out too.
With all this, I'm surprised this game has actually held on this long. 13 years and nothing more to show for it
It will grow. We just need a few things. Better updates (including ddos protection) Would most likely have players come back and demand better content. That will also bring more players. That’s just a hunch, but it makes sense.
It needs more carats items. There hasnt been a new scroll that isnt a rare since wicked flare i believe? (not 100% sure).
I mean technically, theres not much upcost to keeping RF going. They do not moderate. They have Starberry do work for free. They don't pay staff to do events or interact with players. At best running RF costs little to no hours a week for 1 employee to do. Maybe to make sure the update rolls out smooth on update days. The hosting it probably living off of the other games they have. Nimonix doesn't do anything anymore to the game, so they just tell redfox to split the profit maybe like 30/70 or something. This game can go on and on until they notice there is really no more profit at all coming in.
