What did you do to make it work ? After full installed then i get this Xkerrnel Error Data in 9Dragons has changed or has failed to update sucessfully Please install again I did multiples time already ;(((
DITTO!! After the update, 5-full installations (uninstall, delete directory, & cleaned registry), using both browsers (IE and FF) and oodles of my patience ... ..no luck! 1st time I've ever seen/experienced this =( Please, just post your resolve or fix here, so to help the rest of us out.
Try running as Admin, Try installing it on your C drive, Try installing it via Steam or vice versa. I had this issue recently and had to install it on my C drive and run it as Admin then it resolved it for me.
This issue is caused by your launcher file being blocked/quarantined. Please try uninstalling the game and reinstalling. You may need to add all redfox/gameguard files to the exception list of your anti-virus/firewall before running your launcher.
Still no luck, but thanks for the replies: I only run as sys.admin, since this is my 9Dragons ONLY laptop. But, to eliminate all possibilities, I shift-right clicked it.. I tried both directories, cleaning the registry after all the re-re-re..install (7 now) Uhm, my visitor from another planet is dedicated to 9Dragons. Thus, there is no need for prophylactics ... I run no protection (anti-virus, anti-trojan, firewall etc) on this system/craptop. Thus, there is no software to add exceptions to.. Never experienced this in the decade plus. I even tried 3 different setup.exe (the 2016 original, the 2020 and another). I will start with hardware drivers *sigh*
Even if you don't have an anti-virus, Windows 10 comes stock with Windows Defender. Please check Windows Defender.
What i did is that i go to ADragons Awaken folder And I double click on NINEDRAGONS application file which has 2,132kb . By đoing that it update 1 additional thingy and i got it run on 1 out of 3 computer so far . I will try to figure why the start button still doesnt work and why it did on my main. This latest update conflicting with something GM. Never seen this problem and i have played 9D for over 17 years now
Defender is off. The only thing that has changed since the update is 9Dragons, so it will not be in Window's settings since I was already playing, unless RedFox has access to my windows settings *puts on tinfoil hat* The 2132 thingy is the launcher for Internet Explorer, & the 1792 thingy = Firefox
I got my 2nd computer run now by keep double click on that file hic by luck and it work . I really dont know how and why it happened zzzzz I dont turn any firewall or antivirus on at all
When I was having this issue I attempted to launch off of those 3 launchers you can tell from the recent install that it was recent
Ok i got my laptop going now What i did is that i go to Download folder Then RedFoxDownloader then Nine Dragons Awaken then 160524 folder and you will see a file name unicows.dll I moved that file to Local Disk C: PlayRedFox - 9DragonsAwaken I overwrite it in 9DragonsAwaken and it work like it should be. Hope you guy has the same luck like my.
I find it interesting that a certain part of the download or install has to be on the C drive or maybe it's just a coincidence.
I'd guess from when you used the 2nd icon, or browser type: NINEDRAGONS (icon) = Internet Explorer =1 file NDLAUNCHER (icon) = FireFox = 1 file (ndlauncher2 = duplicate shortcut) Not Steam. I tried the recent setup.exe, downloaded from RedFox a few hours ago today, as well the (RF) original setup.exe & unicows.dll from 2016.
