    Hi all,

New player here somewhat interested in playing this game but have a quick question to ask. I'm aware this a fairly old game by now but I'm wondering if there are still other new players that are playing this game as well or if the only people still playing are old players that's been playing for a long time and thus would be hard for a newbie to get a good feel of the game?

literally everyone plays this game because they played it all before. Very rarely will you find an unskilled player at this game. If you are seriously thinking about playing this game a lot, don't spend money on anything. Nothing is worth it because this game will probably shut down soon.
If you do spend money, never buy boxes. Take my word for it. You can only imagine how fúcking horrible the rates on any box that they've released could be.

There MIGHT be a very small amount of new players running around by now. As for the game being beginner friendly... It's very subjective. Sure, they give you a small amount of items for leveling up.. Only to take most of them away at Lv 15. You do get to keep 2 nearly sets with barely any stats, and one random Scroll and ExoCore at Lv 9 and Lv 11 (which are pretty sub par compared to other newly released Skill Items).

Being a Free-To-Play user can seriously put you at a disadvantage unless you literally only play games that involve easy/cheap kills. Then there's that mode where you do nothing at all and earn carats and EXP, but that'll get boring quick. I only recommend you play NHAA if you're preoccupied with other things. Avoid team based rooms like Demo and Glacier Cove unless you can actually pull your own weight, and then some, and have Scrolls/ExoCores that can easily compete with the overpowered sh*t players use in casual games.

IF you ever do break down and buy RC, buy just a few Skill Items (Scrolls & ExoCores) that can tremendously help. Maybe a few pieces of clothing to increase your stats a little. Avoid buying Boxes & Chests, as RNG will literally f*ck you.

You'll probably need something to motivate you to play. Competitive with your friends, getting better than them, etc.

If you join and pick up on your own; Its a hard and long process of learning. You can't just start up the game and smash some buttons like soulcaliber and expect to win.

As much as it sucks to hear this, You need to spend some money on this game. If you guild war, you need diverse exocores and some stats. If you want to actually learn; You need to experience most scrolls.

It's not friendly to anyone, let alone beginners. If you spend money on this game, spend it on a good vpn.

Would you rather lag and still have internet or be kicked off entirely by hyperactive troglodytes with access to a $20 booter?
If you're a new player going into this game, you should have to sign a liability contract, with the way people treat other random people.
Then again, I guess if you're a new player, there's no way you could piss off an elitist with his broken scrolls and busted avalon/exo combinations. They usually only get upset at people that can actually out-cheese them.

RedFox just needs to advertise this game more. I used to see ads on webcomic sites and junk back in 2008.
Advertising is expensive but you'd have to go really out of your way to find this game even exists.

People still spend 5k a month on this game, the p2w model works but only in korea since gambling is super illegal there, even when EA Games had that p2w boycott for Battlefront 2 (which involved a couple EU governments) they got flak by korean publishers who basically said "you're ruining the p2w business model and made people notice"

The model works but you're right, people can't be too aware of how these games work or it'll collapse
