Well what if you're just joking among friends and the one guy who joins the room takes you seriously? He never did say he was threatened. Just that someone said his IP. You're right though, explicitly threatening to ddos someone should be bannable if it isn't already.

The way the game server is coded (P2P) makes a complete rewrite of RFs code the only foolproof ddos solution

 

I know why ddoser are still here.
ddosers= usually people who buy alot of rc/ wellknown
ban ddosers= less players who are willing to spend 800$ on boxes
solution= ban hammer. (ban people for threatening/ instigating/insinuating)
ban hammer would severely reduce game population but it would weed out all the white bois in puberty and pave the way for a new generation of players

Nimonix need to improve client. They should do it like LoL that where it not let you get cursor out of screen when you are in game. In meanwhile RF should not let everyone get cursor out of screen when they are in ******* room and in ******* game, NOT ******* LOBBY IN THE ******* LOBBY AND **** USELESS PLAZE. That is simple this is only way to stop DDoSers.

1. Gameguard cannot do anything to block two players from having a peer to peer connection it's how the game is setup.
2. Any other method is going to involve packet sniffing P2P so any other "Method" is irrelevant if wireshark was "Patched" by making the game server sided than a lot of people would have connection problems.

TL;DR DDoSing will never be fixed, go use a VPN and stop being an idiot or learn and hack them back.

 

I don't get ddos. hack them back? There's other games that use a P2P server and don't have this problem.
edit: most ppl wouldn't know other methods. Not like they can't change severs like in the past.

 

There is a few reasons why other P2P games don't have this problem.

1. They actually do have this problem but the kids who boot don't say anything about it as opposed to this game where a kid goes on HF and buys a 5$ booter and will brag like they have a bachelors in computer science from carnegie mellon.

2. The games support staff actually deals with DDoSers the correct way by MAC banning them so the only way of getting back on the game is to change their MAC address which is not very simple after the second or third time. The GM's in this game could care less about hackers and ddosers i've been hacking on my account since release and i haven't even gotten a mute.
