It does no good to get your ass beat if you don't understand why you lost

Explain how things work and show him how to properly utilize his scrolls and exos, give him advice on things to look out for, what kind of tactics he should be going with and advice on adapting to various situations

    This post is so wrong.
I've trained multiple people without telling them what they were doing wrong and the majority of them are top / were players.

Yeah, losing mindlessly is not a good way to learn. But if you lose by experimenting different things - scroll stuns, where scroll attacks are punishable, what is an unsafe range, then losing can be a great teacher.

You could have the best 1vs1 advice, but applying it is a different story on its own.

1st He needs to know all controls(He died a couple times because if his recovery move) and what they do(I don't think he even countered once). 2nd He needs to start learning to predict. If you can predict your enemy's moves, game will become more easier for you. 3rd Just play. Most of this just comes frrom experience.

well from experience of teaching friends,
1vs1ing is a horrible way to teach and so is moon. best bet is to bring them to Glacier to show them how to use teamwork, effectively use Exocores, and learn how to more precisely use their scrolls in the heat of battle while their lives and teammates rely on them. ☀️
